Transmission mounts locate the transmission to the chassis of the car. Nearly all BMW transmission mounts are made of rubber which is great for absorbing vibrations and noise but may not last very long. Oil from a failing transmission seals will also contribute to premature rubber mount wear. Worn out tranny mounts can lead to harder and imprecise shifting and maybe even a dreaded mis-shift. Rubber trans mounts are generally inexpensive so replacing them every few years will not break the bank. We also offer upgraded stiffer rubber or urethane mounts that last longer and deflect less so the transmission stays in its proper place and the shift linkage is not mis-aligned.
95A Track (Green): Significantly stiffer and stronger than OEM rubber. Noticeable increase in NVH. Excellent for enthusiastically driven street and track cars.
Solid bolt through 70D polyurethane trans mounts. Recommended for race use only. These trans mounts fit almost all BMW cars excluding the E30 M3 and a few older models. They commonly fit the E30, E36, E46, E9x, E8x, E21, E34, E39. Common BMW part numbers that these trans mounts replace are: 22316799331 23711175939 23711175424 23701141614 Revshift polyurethane transmission mounts are made in the U.S.A. from high-grade polyurethane. 70D polyurethane has a comparable hardness to plastics such as Delrin and UHMW. Unlike plastic, polyurethane is an elastomer which means it will return to its original shape if deformed and it will not crack. We do not recommend plastics for automotive use due to their inherent brittleness and inability to return to its original shape when deformed. Revshift Performance Engineering is a high-performance parts manufacturer with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance. Utilizing high-precision machining technologies and their very own Polyurethane Manufacturing Department, every Revshift product is designed, manufactured, and tested in-house at their Detroit, Michigan facility.
