BMW Intake Manifold Components (DISA, Vacuum, CCV, Etc) for BMW 5 Series E39 (1996-2003)

The intake manifold takes incoming air from the intake and distributes it to each cylinder. Over the years the manifolds have gotten more sophisticated and complex. Most of the additional work that it does is emissions-related - recirculating vapors back into the engine to be re-used. But there are also performance innovations such as BMW's DISA variable intake runners. All of the modern innovations have a part behind it and here you will find replacement components.

In some BMW models there are performance improvements with intake manifolds. These intake manifold upgrades use mostly BMW parts and are a direct replacement for your stock manifold. We offer manifolds and kits to make the conversion work easier.

The DISA Valve adjusts the intake manifold runner length to improve performance. When it fails it can lead to a rough idle and perhaps an engine fault code light. This adjusting unit fits E46 325i with M54 engine, 330i, E39 530i, E60 530i 2004-2005 - X3 3.0i 2004-2006 - X5 3.0i 2000-2006 Z3 3.0i, Z4 3.0i 2003-2006. From 1974 to 2019, Bavarian Autosport was one of the premier vendors for BMW and MINI auto parts. BMW has an issue with oil separators freezing in cold weather if the engine is not fully warmed up during driving. Common symptoms are a howling noise followed by oil leaks. Crankcase breather valve used to purge the oil vapor from the engine block into the valve cover. This valve has 4 hoses connected to it, running to dipstick, valve cover, air intake. You should also look into replacing your valve cover gasket when changing the separator.

Race German has devoted themselves to providing quality products for late model BMWs that cover both street and track applications. Race German has now grown their catalog to a wide variety of models and products geared towards keeping your car looking and running nice. A popular conversion on OBD2 M52/S52 engines, is to convert to the M50 intake manifold. The problem with this is, the OBD2 engine harness uses intake air temperature readings. To solve this problem, Race German has carefully milled down the OEM intake air temperature sensor, and re-threaded to the correct threads that are on the M50 intake manifold. The sensor used is an OEM sensor.
