CNC machined using aircraft grade 6061 aluminum billet, and anodized with a stealthy black coating. Others may advertise "their" crank pulley boasting higher numbers (using a smaller pulley profile), but we have concluded that for street and track driven M5 and M6, this is the best size and design to ensure proper engine temp and auxiliary functionality. As the S85 V10 engine doesn't use a traditional harmonic balancer, all factory harmonics and dampening are fully and properly retained. We've found this pulley alone adds 18 to 22 HP and 17 to 21 Ft/lbs Torque on a stock M5 or M6 with no other mods(!!).

This OEM Ruville hydraulic tensioner assembly is designed to keep the serpentine belt at the correct pressure against the pulleys. Many BMW's can have either a hydraulic or mechanical belt tensioner. Please check to see which tensioner type you need before ordering.

For Alternator / Water Pump Belt
Hydraulic Belt Tensioner for E36, E46, E39 6-cyl models. This is the oil-filled tensioner that keeps the main drive belt in the proper tension. Over time the piston seals inside allow fluid to leak out. The tensioner becomes frozen or inoperable. Replacement is the best corrective action to take. This can be done during any belt or pulley service or anytime the fan is off the engine.

aFe Power's new power pulley brings performance engineering to your BMW M5. This power pulley is a complete bolt-on kit, including the pulley, bolts, and belts. aFe’s power pulleys are CNC machined out of billet aluminum and black anodized for that aggressive look under the M5’s hood. This power pulley does not modify factory harmonics or dampening. In recent Dyno testing this power pulley produced 5 HP and 6lbs. x ft. torque.
