The factory plastic gears in BMW S65 and S85 throttle body actuators are notorious for premature wear due to mechanical stress, engine vibration, and heat cycling. Over time, this wear leads to excessive play, throttle response issues, and eventual failure. This can cause DME fault codes, limp mode, and DSC malfunctions. While replacing both throttle actuators is costly, even new OEM units will eventually suffer the same fate.

This dual-cone intake for the 135/335/535 is similar to the enclosed carbon fiber intake but without the surrounding air box. If you love the look of the open filters and high-tech carbon fiber, this is the kit for you. High-flow cotton air filters connect to CAD engineered carbon fiber intake tubes for an improvement in air flow. The open filter layout releases more intake roar than the stock muffled intake.

The ECS Kohlefaser Luft-Technik (Carbon Fiber Air Technology) intake for the 135/335/535 is a beautifully crafted dual-cone intake with a glossy carbon fiber enclosure. Developed in-house using ECS's chassis dyno and state of the art laser scanning and 3D CAD technology, the N54 carbon airbox is a direct replacement for the stock system. Laser scanning allows ECS to produce a finished product that is a perfect fit to the engine bay. All tubing is also made from carbon fiber with each piece designed for optimal flow. The carbon fiber sandwiches a special heat-blocking fiberglass core, insulating the air box from engine bay heat. All of this combines to produce more power and torque over a wider RPM range - up to 13ft-lbs and 18hp when combined with a Cobb software tune, FMIC, and exhaust. And it looks amazing every time you open the hood.

This is a 1/2" (fits -8AN hos perfectly as well) CNC Billet check valve that can be used for a variety of uses including a vacuum/boost check valve when removing the stock PCV system, and still wanting to run the vacuum to the crankcase. Rated at over 100 psi, with a cracking psi of .25psi.

The VTT PCV Flapper delete is used to get rid of the factory flapper, and add a -10 fitting on N54 powered vehicles. This will allow you to run a single or dual external catch can, or your own custom set up.
This fitting is made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum anodized black and comes with O-ring, and a stainless steel holding clip.

In addition to the weak stock chargepipe, the factory N54 diverter valves can also be a source for boost leaks. The diverter valve takes overboost and re-directs it back through the intake and turbos instead of allowing it to pass into the intake manifold. It's the same as a blow off valve (BOV) but instead of releasing into the engine bay, it stays contained to the engine. The stock diverter valves (DV) are plastic and connect with more plastic into the chargepipe and turbo inlet pipes. The plastic can become brittle and crack even on stock engines and leak boost, which leads to a loss in power and performance.
Turbosmart has developed two kits to replace and upgrade the stock diverter valves - a direct replacement kit (shown) and a combination DV/BOV "Dual Port" kit. This direct replacement kit includes new high-performance DV and stronger silicone hose to connect them to the turbo inlet pipes (Vargas silicone inlets are recommended). This is the adapter fitting that is required to convert your N54 to external PCV if you want to keep your crankcase under vacuum at idle, and anytime you have a vacuum condition in your intake manifold. They are made from 6061-T6 with black anodizing for a long-lasting finish. Includes complete adapter, with all o-rings, and retaining clip.
This must be used in conjunction with the Vargas billet check valve, and PCV delete fitting or requires plugging of the intake PCV ports. Installs inline on the throttle body, and adds a -8AN male to adapt to a catch cans, or any custom set up.
