Fitting a front license plate to a BMW requires drilling damaging holes forever ruining the original front bumper. Until now, the only other option was to fit an offset mount to the side using the factory tow hook. Carbonio has now engineered an OEM quality solution that mounts the license plate in the middle while doing no damage of any kind. Installation and removal is a 10-second exercise and the unit is totally self-contained, not requiring any pieces to be fixed to the car. EBC Yellowstuff brake pads are designed for high friction and strong stopping power, with good heat resistance for heavy braking. In 2021, the formulation was updated to remove copper for environmental compliance, resulting in a longer lifespan but also a longer bedding-in period. As a result, Yellowstuff is no longer recommended for track use and is best suited for high-performance street driving and heavy-duty applications such as towing with trucks and SUVs. For track day use, EBC now recommends Bluestuff pads, which offer quicker bed-in times and better performance in racing conditions while remaining street-friendly.
