BMW's power steering reservoirs are prone to leaking and cracking, due to their plastic construction. Often times, your new power steering reservoir will include a filter as well, which may sharpen the performance of your steering system as well.
A cracked or leaking power steering reservoir can lead to a prematurely worn or malfunctioning power steering pump and should be replaced immediately to ensure the continued safe operation of the power steering system. Complete assembly includes the reservoir, cap, and seal.
