Timing chains can cause catastrophic problems with your N52 engine if it doesn't function properly. Common symptoms of failure include excessive vibration or “slap” from the timing chain, and the possibility of plastic particles throughout the oil. Symptoms typically begin to surface between 80,000 and 100,000 miles. Includes a new sensor as well as valve cover and eccentric gaskets for a complete service. The eccentric shaft sensor is known to fail and can be a costly repair at the dealer. Often caused by oil getting into the connection for the wiring harness and damaging the sensor and causing a check engine light. With this kit you get the the sensor along with new valve cover and eccentric shaft adjuster gaskets to ensure a complete leak free job.
