VTT is proud to offer our “OBD-LOCK” OBD port locking tool. This is tool is made from billet 6061-T6 aluminum and is designed to completely lock out your OBD port from being accessed. This is useful for people who do not want dealers, techs, etc from accessing their OBD port, and possibly changing a tune, etc. This is also perfect for anti-theft prevention as it will not allow a would-be thief to hook up to the car’s OBD port, duplicate a key, etc. The OBD-LOCK cannot be removed without physically destroying the OBD port if you do not have the proper tools. VTT uses 5 types of screw head designs for every 200 OBD-LOCKS made. This means that worldwide only 40 OBD-LOCKS are using the same head design. For each batch of 200, we redesign the screw heads meaning every batch of 200 OBD-LOCKS will use different screw heads and tools. Each OBD-LOCK sent has its head design chosen at random. For those wanting to move away from EDC for aftermarket suspension systems or coilover setups, the EDC monitoring can be a bit obtrusive as this type of monitoring is no longer required – resulting in numerous error messages thinking the system has malfunctioned. In order to mount aftermarket seats in your car, you need a floor mount adapter. These high-quality aluminum adapters are made by Macht Schnell. These bolt to your existing seat mounting studs in the floor and offer the lowest profile of any floor mount (22mm height). This helps to keep your seat at the lowest position possible. Your seat adapters or sliders bolt to this adapter plate. These floor mounts are a matrix style with rows of threaded holes that allow you to find an ideal seat location. There are other options - including homemade - but these seat brackets for your BMW are the highest quality to match your expensive seats.

APEX light alloy wheels are the next evolution in flow-forged wheel technology for BMWs. Flow-forming is a semi-forging process that produces a wheel typically stronger than a traditional cast wheel yet is still light weight. The wheels are around 10lbs lighter per wheel than a comparable factory wheel! That's reduced unsprung weight that improves all aspects of performance. All APEX wheels are the BMW standard 5/120 bolt pattern and with a 72.6mm center bore. They are a direct fit to many BMW models and fit other models when used with a specific spacer. The original BMW center cap, TPMS sensors, and original lug bolts are all carried over from your original wheels (wheel bolts may vary if spacers are used). They come in a wide variety of diameter, width, and offset combinations which gives you multiple fitment and application opportunities. For street use we generally recommend a staggered setup with a rear wheel slightly wider than the front. For track and racing applications a square setup is desired with the same width in the front and rear. Wheel offsets may also vary based on the clearances and stance you wish to achieve.
