We took the OEM tubes and redesigned them. Then machined them out of billet 6061, anodized them in black, and added a US-made Viton O-ring with more surface area to ensure a leak-free connection for the life of your S65 that will not break down over time. Machined from 6061-T6 aerospace aluminum, Macht Schnell Performance Underdrive Pulleys are strong as well as lightweight to limit parasitic drag from the accessories within a moderate level for maximum performance on or off the track. After machining and engraving, pulleys are then T3 hard anodized for additional strength, anti-corrosion & wear resistance. Our DualDrive design replaces the Crank Accessory & Power Steering Pulleys, resulting in an additional 9-14 HP and 7-9ft. lbs TQ gain for the M3. Gains are due to a reduction in power required to turn accessories; an increase in accessories lifespan due to lower speed will also result. All factory harmonics/balancing are undisturbed. This is an OEM INA Upper Idler Pulley, also known as the roller pulley or deflection pulley. The upper and lower idler pulleys are known to be the primary sources for 'belt squealing'. The pulley is also encased in rubber which will crack over time. If left without service the rubber could fail completely, chucking the belt and leaving you stranded. Replacement is a very simple procedure and can be done anytime the fan is off the engine (belt replacement, water pump service, alternator replacement, etc).

VTT created these for the S65 owner who wants to add a great look to their engine bay while also getting rid of the stock valve cover which are very problematic and can crack/leak/delaminate with higher mileage. Eliminating the leak-prone factory oil cap design with a threaded cap with O-ring Seal, VTT has also added two -10 ORB bungs which allow you complete freedom to plumb in a catch can, or vent system of your choice. The internal baffling is 100% in place to knock down any oil from the vapors before being expelled. Factory PCV has also been kept in place so these can be run in essentially any configuration required. 100% CNC 6061-T6 Aircraft aluminum construction Anodized in a variety of colors Lightweight; 9.7 lbs.
