This is the OEM VDO fuel pump and fuel level sensor for most E82 and E9X cars. If your gas gauge is not reading correctly, or not at all, it's probably the level sensor on this pump. This eccentric shaft is a vital component of your BMW's N55 Valvetronic system, responsible for precise control of valve lift. In the N55 engine, the Valvetronic system uses intermediate levers between the camshaft and lifters to adjust valve lift dynamically.
