On several BMWs, rear control arms are a weak point. Turner Motorsport stocks a variety of replacement front control arms for your BMW. We recommend looking into the OE options we offer to save you money on your maintenance so you have more left over for performance parts!
Nearly every car manufactured in the modern era carries a dark secret – fully-adjustable suspension has been all but eliminated in the name of cost-cutting and assembly-line efficiency. What this means for you is increased tire wear and more frequent replacement, as a “full alignment” consists only of rudimentary toe-angle adjustment. For over forty years, K-MAC has been hard at work developing a solution to this problem with patented innovations in camber/caster plates and bushing kits, allowing easy adjustment and a true “full four-wheel alignment” to be performed by any competent shop. These bushings make camber adjustments possible for the first time, and improve the ability to complete toe angle adjustments. When used in conjunction with the K-MAC Camber and Toe kit and Rear Adjustable Trailing Arms allows full adjustability of the 5 multi-link rear arms and positive location. Bolt-on installation – insertion/extraction tube included! Easily adjusted on the car with basic hand tools Unique failsafe locking hardware – set & forget! High quality elastomer compound resists binding Hardened & nickel-chrome plated centers for maximum bushing life 2x the load area of stock bushings Spiral grease grooves

As your vehicle ages, rubber components begin to break down, allowing excess movement in the components that require a firm mounting point the most. If your rear end feels loose, or wanders over bumps, your rear trailing arm bushings may be to blame.

If the control arm bushings on your vehicle are beginning to fail, it will become quickly apparent. Suspension noise will be drastically increased and the entire car will have an all-around looser feel. This can also lead to premature tire failure as alignment is negatively affected. Replace your control arm bushings to give your entire suspension a tighter feel.

As your vehicle ages, rubber components begin to break down, allowing excess movement in the components that require a firm mounting point the most. The camber link allows fine adjustment of the rear camber. When the camber link bushings fail, the rear camber adjustment is compromised. The result is a loose feeling in the rear end, excessive tire wear, and a sacrifice in handling.
