This Momentum intake system produced up to 28hp and 31lbs. x ft. torque and outflows the factory intake by 29%. This intake system uses twin black rotomolded airboxes that keeps warm engine air out for maximum performance. The housing uses a unique Patent Pending filter to housing interface that enables us to use the largest filters possible while maintaining a simple hassle-free installation. The kit comes complete will all necessary hardware. This intake utilizes dual, 6-1/2" tall conical The PRO 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles.
Unique One-Piece Dual Housings:
The smooth one-piece high quality sealed dual housings with auxiliary air scoop is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A large, clear sight window is used for a hassle-free filter inspection and an aggressive style.
High Quality Tubes:
This system uses a high quality plastic CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-mold intake tubes to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit.
Large 5-Layer Performance Air Filter:
The Momentum intake is designed around a pre-oiled, large 6-1/2" Tall round inverted top 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 5-layers of progressive finer mesh cotton media providing maximum airflow and performance. The unique air filter-to-housing interface (patent pending) allows for maximum filter size which increases the available air volume while simplifying the installation process.

Premium clamps and reinforced silicone couplings are used for strength and durability while also providing the most secure installation available. Momentum intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.

Dinan sport mufflers are designed to compliment the M5 and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Dinan engineers their exhausts to sound great and be a natural fit to the character of the car as well as produce more power and torque. Four 3.5" stainless tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. Vargas is among the first turbo specialists to release a Stage 1 upgrade for the S63TU V8. Using the stock housings but with improved internals, this S63 turbo upgrade is good up to 800whp. Stage 1 is a hybrid of stock and upgraded internals - a new larger higher-flow billet compressor wheel with specially machined housings for much improved flow characteristics. These are the first step in building an X5/X6 M super sled!
Vargas Turbo Technologies has been in business since 1979, offering rebuilt and re-engineered turbo solutions. Vargas rebuilds each turbo assembly with OEM or better internals, addressing known weak points at the same time. Because the Stage 1 uses stock turbo housings, all of the stock turbo plumbing and intake hoses will match up. It's recommended that the rest of the system be upgraded to handle your tuning goals. Custom software tuning will be required to achieve the correct fuel and timing curves.
Oil Recommendation - modern engine oil is formulated for emissions and to be environmentally friendly. The additives in current oil lowers the oil's ability to withstand high temperatures and stresses, lowering its shear strength and its lubricating properties. Vargas recommends oils with high ZDDP (zinc and phosphorus) content that will better protect and cool the turbo bearings. Examples of high-zinc oils are Red Line Race, Red Line Euro, Motul 300V Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, Valvoline VR-1 oil, and most Diesel-spec oils that you can buy off-the-shelf. Some oils, especially the Race type, will need more frequent oil changes and may be harmful to catalytic converters.
WHP rating: 800. This rating is used to compare various stage of Vargas turbo kits. The number is a theoretical limit for how much power it could make. There is no advertised horsepower gain without consideration for additional tuning and upgrades. The rating is provided as a reference to use in your tuning planning.
Vargas turbos are rebuilt on an exchange basis so a core charge will apply. This will be refunded upon the return of your rebuildable original turbos.

Placing resonators after cat-less downpipes will help tune the sound from the S63TU engine. By removing the factory catted downpipes you're removing a large sound muffler as well and adding resonators can help tone down the open exhaust. This Supersprint resonator is for the left side of section 1 of the exhaust. It is full stainless steel with a mandrel bent pipe for optimized exhaust flow. The Supersprint resonator has been tuned to work with the rest of their exhaust.

Dinan's Cold Air Intake system for the F10 M5 adds two additional intake snorkels to complement the factory intake ducts to the airboxes (a total of 4 intake ducts feeding air into the engine). Dinan studied the aerodynamics and packaging of the front end to determine where additional intakes can take in air. New airbox covers incorporate carbon fiber air ducts that run to the top of the radiator support where it gets a ram-air effect from the front grilles. The new airbox cover and piping are designed with a composite material that blocks hot air. A K&N high flow air filter that has 77% more surface area than stock sits in the new airbox. Dinan has shown peak gains of 13hp and 9ft-lbs of torque from the intake alone but greater gains come at higher RPM where more airflow is required.

Factory Pre-set Damping
The Variant 1 is KW's basic simple and effective coil over kit that is still packed with lots of features -
This is the ideal coil over kit for a 5-series owner who does not plan on tracking or autocrossing the car and just wants a lower, more aggressive stance and better handling. KW has set the shock damping rates to be an excellent balance for a smooth yet taut ride, and to resist bodyroll motions for better handling. The Variant 1 differs from the Street Comfort set in that it has stiffer springs and revised shock settings. If you want a sportier ride and better handling than stock the Variant 1 is an excellent choice.
Coil over suspensions are better engineered suspension options compared to a standard shock + spring package. Since the springs and shocks in a coil over are designed by a team of engineers to work together, there is much better suspension travel and more precisely tuned specifications for spring and shock rates. Using separate shock and spring specs may result in premature coil bind or shock bottoming. And most coil over kits offer more features than the traditional packages. Coil overs are also more useful when larger wheels/tires are used because you can precisely set the ride heights to clear the new tires.
Fitment Note: Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel/tire sizing and ride height setting.
Cars with the factory EDC electronic adjustable shocks must have the system disabled with the optional KW EDC Cancellation Kit (or similar). This is a direct fit for cars without EDC.
