Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.
By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.
Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.
Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.
Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

The Powerflex Handling Pack for the BMW F2X (2 Series) and F3X (3 Series) RWD is an all-in-one solution for improving the handling, stability, and overall driving dynamics of these rear-wheel-drive BMW models. This pack is designed to replace the softer factory rubber bushings with durable polyurethane bushings, giving the car a sharper, more responsive feel, particularly under demanding driving conditions.
Front Control Arm Bushings:
Front Anti-Roll Bar Bushings:
Rear Trailing Arm Bushings:
Rear Anti-Roll Bar Bushings:
Rear Subframe Bushings:
Increased Handling Precision: With stiffer bushings throughout the suspension system, the vehicle will experience less deflection and flex, leading to sharper steering response and more predictable handling.
Reduced Body Roll: By stiffening the anti-roll bar bushings, the handling pack helps reduce body roll, keeping the vehicle more level during cornering and providing a more planted feel.
Improved Stability: With upgraded bushings in key suspension areas like the control arms and subframe, the handling pack provides better stability and control, particularly under heavy loads and during high-speed cornering.
Enhanced Road Feedback: The firmer bushings provide better feedback from the road, giving the driver a clearer sense of what the car is doing and allowing for more precise inputs during performance driving.
Long-Lasting Durability: Polyurethane bushings are more resistant to wear, deformation, and environmental factors compared to traditional rubber bushings, meaning the handling pack will last longer and maintain its performance over time.
Balanced Performance: Despite the increased stiffness, the handling pack is engineered to minimize increases in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), making it suitable for both daily driving and performance use.

For someone looking for superior performance and longevity these sealed monoball bushings are the best upper thrust bearing you can buy for an F22 2-series or F3X 3/4-series. The advantage of a monoball bearing is that it will not deflect under load. All of the rubber bushings move in all sorts of directions and that changes your alignment, especially when used with big brake kits or when driven hard. The condition worsens as the bushing wears out. The Dinan monoball sits in a CNC machined aluminum housing which has zero deflection. The monoball allows complete freedom of movement but only at the desired angles. What you get is superior steering precision, better handling from more consistent alignment, and almost infinite bushing life. And thanks to the inner liner and sealed rubber boots there's none of the extra noise or reduced service life of fully solid race bushings.
We strongly advise using these with new control arms. BMW recommends that the bushings be replaced only once per set of control arms. So if your thrust arm bushings have been replaced already then we do not recommend re-using the arms. The other reason is that the aluminum arms stretch over time which will make the bushings loose inside the arm. Other manufacturers recommend filling the stretched arms with paste but replacing the control arm is the better solution.
