To construct a TTE400 N20, the folks at TTE change the original compressor and employ a far larger and more efficient billet 6+6 wheel and mill the compressor cover to the optimum gap to match the new compressor profile. Notice how they CNC mill the cover to have a smooth transition to the intake inlet, no big step to hinder airflow as you see on the competition's offerings. They replace the original exhaust turbine and CNC mill the turbine housing to install a larger 9 blade turbine for greater gas flow and lower backpressure.

To maintain long-term reliability under the increased thermal and mechanical stresses of high-boost applications, the Pure400 is equipped with a heavy-duty upgraded bearing housing and undergoes meticulous VSR high-speed balancing. Engineered to support over 350 wheel horsepower, depending on fueling and supporting modifications, this upgrade provides a substantial power increase while maintaining the responsive, low-end torque characteristics of the original B48 engine. Equilibrium Precisely balancing the turbochargers is a key critical factor to becoming a TTE upgrade unit as longevity and performance are paramount. Good balance improves acoustics also. Subsequently, great care is taken with all TTE turbochargers to achieving balance standards.
