BMW Water Pumps for BMW 4 Series F33 (2014+)

Clear BMW chassis

Please ensure your correct model is selected

The water pump is a known failure point on most BMWs, new and old. Older model BMWs come from the factory with a mechanical fan that features a plastic impeller. If your BMW still has a water pump with a plastic impeller, you should upgrade to one with a metal impeller to avoid future failure. New BMWs utilize an electric water pump that cost BMW millions of dollars to design - when it is working it is great, unfortunately these fail so regularly that we recommend replacing your electric water pump every 60,000 miles to avoid stranding yourself on the side of the road. We have hand selected the best OE suppliers for replacement water pumps so you don't have to pay the high cost of Genuine BMW. However, if you're someone who only puts Genuine BMW parts on your car, we understand - that's why we have those available for you as well.

Water Pump And Thermostat Kit - BMW N55 F Chassis

Ensure optimal engine cooling and performance with this high-quality Water Pump And Thermostat Kit - BMW N55 F Chassis. In the mid-2000s, BMW introduced electronically controlled water pumps and thermostats for better temperature regulation and efficiency. However, these components tend to have a shorter lifespan compared to traditional mechanical designs, often failing before BMW’s recommended 80,000-mile service interval.

This complete kit from Turner Motorsport includes premium-quality components that match OEM specifications, providing reliable and efficient cooling system performance. Maintaining a properly functioning cooling system helps prevent overheating, enhances efficiency, and extends engine life.

Signs Your Water Pump and Thermostat May Need Replacement:

  • Engine overheating or failing to reach operating temperature
  • Water pump running intermittently or erratically
  • Cooling fans operating at maximum output
  • Engine fault codes, including 20A804

Upgrade your BMW N55 F Chassis cooling system with this all-in-one kit for worry-free performance and longevity.

BMW's cooling system has long been a known weak spot, with the water pump and thermostat being two of the most common trouble areas. This remains true even in the latest B-Series engines found in 2016 and newer BMW models. This kit includes a brand-new OEM Pierburg water pump, a Bremmen thermostat (now referred to as a Heat Management Module), and one gallon of BMW's G48 coolant concentrate (enough to make two gallons of 50/50 coolant). Avoid spending thousands at the dealership or over $600 on Genuine BMW parts! These components can be replaced with high-quality OEM parts in just an afternoon using basic hand tools.

If your water pump is leaking coolant, there is a good chance one of the seals has failed. This is especially common when your coolant level gets too low and your BMW's water pump runs without coolant. The water pump shaft seal can fail as it gets too hot and you will begin to notice coolant dripping from the weep hole found at the bottom of your pump. We recommend replacing the whole pump to ensure your BMW stays cool for many more years! This kit includes the basic parts necessary to replace your water pump: GEBA Mechanical Pump with an upgraded metal impeller Elring Water Pump Gasket Genuine BMW Water Pump Bolts (x6) Don't forget to pick up a gallon of BMW coolant as well to top your system back off once you have completed your pump installation! Servicing your accessory belt and tensioner is also great to do at this time as the belt must be removed before replacing your pump.

The B58 platform is incredible for high power builds and tuning, but is still prone to the cooling system issues that have plagued BMW for years. Here at ECS, we've noticed customers having issues with the factory water pumps on B58. Enter GEBA, bringing to market a solution that should be more robust than the mechanical pump installed from the factory! This Geba version pump includes a metal roller instead of factory-style plastic!

A failing water pump can show early warning signs like coolant leaks or a whining noise from the engine bay—but with electric water pumps, failure can be sudden, often with no warning beyond rapid overheating.

If you suspect your water pump is on its way out, prompt replacement is critical to avoid engine damage. Stay alert to any changes in cooling system performance.

Note: Aluminum mounting bolts are single-use and must be replaced during installation.

If your water pump is on its way out, you might spot coolant leaks or hear a faint whining sound from under the hood. Don’t wait—if you suspect it’s failing, replace it before it leaves you stranded. The tricky part with electric water pumps is that they can fail silently—no noise, no leaks—just sudden overheating. Stay alert for early warning signs that it’s time to swap out your water pump and keep your cooling system running strong.
