The factory BMW charge pipes are prone to cracking, as they are made from brittle plastic. Here at Turner, we sell several brands of replacement charge pipes that are typically made from cast aluminum. We recommend upgrading to hard charge pipes even on stock forced induction vehicles to avoid cracking - we've seen cracking occur on high mileage cars running stock power just as frequently as we do with high horsepower builds.

By changing from factory plastic charge piping to hard aluminum charge piping, reliability is greatly increased. Additionally, the engine is allowed to hold higher and more stable boost levels since the piping does not flex or distort. Increased strength at connection points is also assured as heavy duty clamps with hard piping doesn't rattle loose or loose clamping force due to spirited driving. Injen Intercooler Piping Kits are the new standard on high-performance turbocharged vehicles. Utilizing T6 60601 Aluminum you can be sure your turbocharged motor will be breathing the coolest and most consistent air. Bolt-on kits include all necessary hoses and couples for easy installation!
