BMW driveshafts are not serviceable. This means that when the U-joints wear out, it is time to replace the entire shaft. If you have increased power levels due to turbo or supercharging, an upgraded driveshaft may be essential to safely transferring that power to the wheels.
New to the DSS line up is the 2015+ BMW M3/M4 (F80/F82) with DCT Trans single 3.25 Carbon Fiber Driveshaft. The shaft is made with a 108mm CV at one end with a flange and plate at the other which will eliminate any possible pinion angle issues. This shaft weighs 28 lbs.
