Fall Line’s mono ball spherical bearing conversion kit transforms the front steering and suspension feel of the M2. The factory rubber bushing is very large, and is prone to substantial deflection under load, as the M2 is put through its paces. Deflection of the bushing can create unwanted geometry change, steering wobble under braking, and even hysteresis of the thrust arm. If the control arm bushings on your vehicle are beginning to fail, it will become quickly apparent. Suspension noise will be drastically increased, there will be steering wheel shake when hitting road hazards, and the entire car will have an all around loose feel. This can also lead to premature tire failure as alignment is negatively affected. Replace your control arm bushings to give your entire suspension a tighter feel. Rattling over bumps, a loose feeling when driving, and play in the front wheels is the main indicator that your bushings may be failing. The stock rubber tends to get dry rotted, wear out, and cause play in the attachment point for the control arm. Replace yours when they wear out, or when replacing a control arm that didn't include these pieces.

Fall Line’s kit replaces the soft upper control arm bushings with spherical bearings, enabling the rear suspension arms to move smoothly through their travel and giving the rear of a car a more solid, planted feel. The reduced geometry change allows for the car to retain its desired alignment, maintaining better control over the tire’s behavior under heavy load. The BMW M cars feature a subframe that is directly mounted to the chassis by BMW M, to reduce suspension compliance and improve performance and driving feel. The Powerflex silicone grease is the only lubricant we suggest for long, squeak free operation. The lubricant contains silicone that resists heat and water and keeps a more constant viscosity to allow it to stay in the bushing as temperatures increase. The lubricant also does not lose it's lubrication properties over time like an anti-seize type lubricant. Each pack will lube 2 large bushings or 4 small.
