This factory BMW steering wheel features a data information display at top center and escalating LED shift lights in the upper steering wheel rim. The driver information display shows oil and water temps, gear change indicator, RPM, lap time stopwatch, sector times, maximum speed, lateral and longitudal g loads. Hidden buttons in the wheel rim cycle through the modes and screens. 

Enjoy the feel of the contoured rim wrapped in alcantara. Alcantara is less slippery than leather, especially with leather gloves. All other trim and steering wheel functions are carried over from your stock wheel, with the exception of the steering wheel heater feature (this will be disabled). All components required for installation, including the control module and wiring harness, are part of the kit. Installation requires removing pieces of the dashboard and running wires behind panels. Vehicle coding is not required after installation but professional installation is recommended.

This special wheel is for the committed driving enthusiast! This is a factory BMW steering wheel from the M Performance accessory catalog. It's a direct replacement upgrade over the stock M2 wheel but with some added features that the serious driving enthusiast will appreciate. The most obvious change is the alcantara fabric at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. The alcantara fabric is grippier than leather, especially when wearing leather driving gloves. A blue band marks the 12 o'clock position for easy straight-ahead reference. The wheel rim is thicker and has been contoured and sculpted around the human hand for the optimum grip. The overall diameter is the same as a stock wheel but the bottom is slightly flat to allow more leg clearance. Tri-color Motorsport stictching finishes off the details.

Note: this part number is for the bare steering wheel. Your airbag, switches, and trim is carried over from your old wheel. The only feature not carried over is the steering wheel heater. The decorative lower trim can also be re-used or choose from several carbon fiber options (choose one below).
