Some of the first modifications you should make to your overlanding vehicle is lighting, you need to be able to see where you are going when venturing off the beaten path. Whether you are driving through your back yard or climbing rocks in the woods, lighting is essential! Get rid of your under utilized factory ash tray(smoking is bad anyways) and replace it with your own personalized control panel for all of your add on electronics. The E53 switch panel idea originated from ECS engineer Mike Day when adding a full build out of lighting to his overland X5. The best ideas come from the people who are in the process of achieving a goal and find a solution to help them complete the job, but better! The switch panel was designed off of a 3D scan of the E53 X5 interior and features OEM+ fitment to blend with your interior.

A perfectly proportional setup could include a 24" light bar or up to 4 individual light pods. There are 4 welded and reinforced mounting tabs that span 17" across the bar that are situated 5-3/8" apart from each other which leaves plenty or room for individual lights but can also accommodate almost any light bar you could want.
