Now CSF is pleased to announce the release of its BMW F8X M3/M4/M2C High-Performance Engine Oil Cooler. The new CSF Engine Oil Cooler is a great addition massively successful G8X Cooling Suite. Like the other cooling systems on the G8X, the factory oil cooler does a pretty good job in stock form. However, once you start adding a lot of power and pushing the car in aggressive driving conditions, the factory systems start to show its limitations. As more and more owners have pushed the limits of their S58, CSF is here to keep them cool. When designing this new cooler, CSF wanted to ensure the best possible performance with factory-like fitment. This oil cooler is a truly unique design using CSF’s AC Condenser Technology. The 1-Row Super-High Pressure 32mm 10-Channel Microtube provides optimal oil flow and maximum surface area contact. By keeping the factory mounting location and relative dimensions, the factory ducting and shrouds are all reused with no modifications necessary. In addition, CSF added a rock guard to keep the cooler safe. You’ve no doubt heard horror stories about an OEM cooling getting punctured and spilling oil all over the road or track. Now you can feel safer and more confident that your oil system is safe from road debris. With many motorsports teams and race enthusiasts now pushing over 800 horsepower, the S58 is seeing oil temperatures well above normal. Once oil temperatures pass a safe limit the G8X will go into limp mode. Needless to say, this can ruin a race, track session, or your overall driving fun in general. The E36 Euro Spec Oil Cooler is exactly what it sounds like. E36 M3’s in Europe came equipped with an oil cooler that mounted under the radiator and was a popular upgrade for E36 owners in the US. Unfortunately, BMW discontinued the oil cooler and they have become harder and harder to find. BimmerWorld reached out to CSF to design a replacement unit that would fit exactly like the factory unit but perform even better. The original oil cooler used Tube and Fin construction. While this is acceptable for cooling performance, it is not a very robust design. CSF chose to go with a Bar and Plate construction to improve durability. While there is plenty of ground clearance, the cooler is low enough to see some potential abuse on the track. CSF wanted to offer that extra durability of a Bar and Plate cooler for track enthusiasts and those running their car on the lower side. The CSF Oil Cooler was designed to be a 1 to 1 replacement for the OEM unit in terms of fitment. This means it uses the same OE mounting points, hardware, and lines. For a Euro E36 M3 or US Z3M, the oil cooler will be a drop-in fit installation. E36 models that were not equipped with the oil cooler from the factory will need the BimmerWorld Euro Oil Cooler Bracket Kit which can attach to an OEM spec Radiator or the CSF #3054.

A leaking gasket can cause headaches down the road, usually when you least expect it. The N52 engine can suffer a particularly troublesome leak around the oil filter housing gasket. Generally seen as something to keep an eye on, this is not something that should be put off. The upgraded Bavarian Autosport gasket is made from a DuPont Viton rubber that has a higher temperature and chemical resistance than the stock gasket material. This gasket should last the lifetime of the engine without breaking down and leaking like the Genuine BMW parts do.
