Turner Motorsport refresh kits will not only rejuvenate the suspension in your vehicle, but improve it to better than new with select upgraded components. Symptoms of a worn suspension include a loose and imprecise feel to the steering, excessive shaking through the steering wheel, or sounds like squeaking, grinding or clunking. This kit will not only help address these issues but is designed to have superior performance compared to stock, and extend suspension life. The Turner engineering team set out to design a no-compromise solution that requires no modification and offers instantaneous cornering and braking response. Our control arm bearings utilize a unique grease-able spherical bearing that is both serviceable and replaceable, with integrated dust seals to help keep dirt and moisture out. This bearing offers considerable improvement in both precision and durability compared to other unsealed poly and delrin bushing inserts previously available, which can wear prematurely due to contamination. The bearing assembly utilizes the highest quality materials, precision machining quality, and components to ensure a perfect fit and longest lasting component life possible. These Turner rear trailing arm bushings (RTAB) now feature a much sought after sealed design. Turner recognized the popularity of their original RTAB design as well as the customer demand for this sealed upgrade, ultimately utilizing the same concept at the front control arm monoballs. A sealed design means not only that contaminants such as salt, grit, and road debris will not affect the bearing, but also means they require no lubrication or maintenance - ever! Adding strut reinforcement plates will help prevent the deformation of the strut tower and possible cracking. Upgrading the rear shock mounts and adding reinforcement plates is highly recommended because of the known failures with the mounts ripping apart. Replacing the lower trailing arm bushings with a ball joint will not only give a more solid feel in the suspension but last longer due to its rubber seal design. This strut and shock mount package covers the front and rear rubber mounts and bushings commonly replaced during a strut and shock install. While you're installing new front struts and rear shocks these are easily installed - there's no additional labor and special tools are not required. Since these pieces are mostly rubber, they dry up and crack over time. Re-using them lead to problems with fitment or noise, and may have safety issues as well. These mounts and pads are the perfect complement to your new shocks to help restore your car's handling and performance.

We sell the basic strut and shock mount package, which includes:

Front strut mounts (also known as guide support)

Front strut reinforcement plates (to prevent cracking and deforming of the front strut towers)

Front and rear self-locking mounting nuts

Rear Lifetime Warranty 'Repair Shop' shock mounts

Rear shock mount reinforcements (to prevent cracking of shock towers)

Rear shock mount gaskets
In addition, you can add the front spring pads, front bump stops, front dust boots, rear bump stops, and rear dust boots if needed. But please note that some shocks and coil overs come with all or some of these pieces already. If in doubt, check with your supplier on what is included.

We offer three varieties of the rear shock mounts - OEM, Repair Shop, and HP alum-rubber. We recommend either the Repair Shop or HP mounts because the stock OEM design has a flaw that can lead to premature failure of the mounts. The Repair Shop and HP mounts use a different design that will last longer and the Repair Shop mounts also have a lifetime warranty!

Part of maintaining the precision and crisp handling of your BMW is with refreshing the shock mounts from time to time. The rubber parts that mount the front struts and rear shocks to the chassis suffer from age and mileage just like any other rubber part on the car. Over time they become weak and sloppy and that leads to poor ride characteristics, alignment issues, poor steering feedback and the associated clunks and other noises.

This set of stock mounts replaces the original worn-out shock mounts, bushings, bearings, bump stops, and pads on your existing suspension. This package includes all of the original parts used in the E39 factory sport suspension. If you're overhauling your E39 suspension with the factory sport shocks and springs this is the mount package you need (see our other listings if you're using performance shocks such as Bilstein). Installing new mounts with new struts and shocks will ensure proper performance and avoid doing the labor twice if a used mount fails soon after. These are all factory BMW or OEM parts so they fit right and perform just like the factory original parts.

Note for 1997-1999 528i, 540i: BMW had a factory recall to replace the front struts and lower spring perches on pre-2000 528i and 540i models. The lower spring perch was redesigned to be stronger and our mount kits cover front struts that have already been replaced under this recall. If yours has not been done we strongly recommend contacting your BMW dealer and having the recall and replacement parts installed. This does not apply to most aftermarket struts, including Bilstein, as their spring perch incorporates the new design.

The E36 3 Series Strut/Shock Mount Kit includes two OEM front strut tower mounts with bearings, two front strut reinforcement plates , front strut tower paper gaskets, two rear shock tower reinforcement plates , ten M8 13mm head Nyloc nuts, a pair of rear shock tower mount gaskets and your choice of three different rear shock mounts.

You can choose from the HD OEM Rear Mounts , the " Repair Shop" Lifetime Warranty Mounts , or the High Performance Aluminum & Rubber Mounts . Any of these mounts are suitable for street use, we recommend the Performance Aluminum & Rubber Mounts for coil-over suspensions or for cars that see a lot of track use.

When you replace spring or shocks & struts in your car, these mounts must be removed and reinstalled anyway. Do it at the same time you replace shocks to save yourself the the increased labor time if they go bad soon after shock/strutinstall.
