AutoTecknic was established in 2000 and has since become one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of carbon fiber parts and accessories for a wide variety of manufacturers. Autotecknic has designed replacement carbon fiber grille surrounds composed of 100% Dry carbon fiber material resulting in an extremely durable frame and an OEM fit. The grille surrounds are composed of carbon fiber and the OEM frame is reused. Comes as a set for left and right side. Perfect for replacing lost, damaged, or faded surrounds or if you simply want an upgrade from the normal black inserts. Dry carbon fiber's name also comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold, and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to properly cure. This particular method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the “wet” method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means that there are fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets that form in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.

But our suppliers have improved the fit and finish of carbon�s inherently rough appearance. There are several quality grades to carbon fiber weave and we would put this right in the middle. It�s a good quality carbon weave without costing hundreds more like an Original BMW carbon part would. We inspect each grille for finish imperfections and quality issues so you�re getting only the ones we approve. If you want to complete the carbon fiber makeover on your car check out our other carbon grilles, emblems, trim, and spoilers. But please note that we source our carbon products from multiple suppliers and the carbon pattern will vary. Our grilles are sold in pairs � one for the left and one for the right. Installation is easy as they snap out and then snap back in.

The M emblem is not included or available separately from BMW. You must re-use M emblem from your factory side grills or use this as an opportunity to do something custom (German stripes, custom emblem, etc).
