If you encounter fuel pressure loss or starting issues despite a functioning engine and spark, consider replacing this unit—a common culprit in such situations. This fuel pressure pump with a level sensor, mounted inside the fuel tank, is the solution to restore your Mini's engine operation.

It's an effective method to diagnose a faulty rear fuel pump when there's a front High-Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) in place. Simply check if you can hear the rear fuel pump prime when opening the door or unlocking the car. Listen for a high-pitched, brief whining noise originating from the fuel tank, lasting only a couple of seconds. If absent, it indicates an issue with the primary rear fuel pump.

Often called main bearings, crankshaft bearing shells sit between the rotating assembly and the engine block. They allow the crankshaft to rotate freely, but are prone to wear from deterioration and lack of lubrication.
