But over time the fluid leaks out and the strength of the mount is greatly reduced. A worn motor mount allows the engine to twist and shift around. For engine and turbocharger reliability, JMTC recommends a 3.0" or larger downpipe/exhaust size for the GTD turbochargers. Please avoid using the stock downpipe or stock-sized catalytic converter.
The OEM intake boot can be used with the removal of the inner sleeve for N14 engines. For N18 engines, the OEM boot at the turbo connection will need to be heated and expanded slightly, which can be done with a heat gun. This turbocharger also fits AEM intake, NM Eng intake, and Forge Intake (Boot). Please note that the hose might need to be warmed and stretched over with a hose expander.
