N55 vs S55:
When shopping for an F87 M2 you have two options to choose from. Either you choose the standard M2 with the N55 engine or the M2 Competition that comes equipped with the S55. The best part about either the competition or non-comp M2 is you are still getting the "M" suspension, drivetrain, and experience. From our experience, there is not a big trade-off between the two models that can justify the price difference. With the N55 you get a lighter weight and extremely capable weapon. Paired with an intake, tune, and the Turner lightweight exhaust the M2 is not a car to be messed with.

Unlike the S55 and S58 equipped cars, non-M, and the N55 equipped cars do not have a strict open and closed valve option. The factory-valved muffler's operation varies with driving modes (comfort, sport, sport plus) and RPM, determining whether valves are open or closed. For precise control over exhaust valve positioning, consider adding a Bluetooth-enabled OBD plug-in for smartphone control. During testing, use an OBD-linked app(MHD) to select the optimal valve position based on your sound preference. This kit offers optional OBD extensions for diagnostics and the ability to adjust vehicle widgets, such as valve position on your valved muffler.

The E60 535i got a little short-changed in the exhaust and looks department. From the rear, there is no evidence of the twin-turbo power that lies beneath. The 335 had dual exhaust; the later F10 535i had dual pipes too. But the 2007-2010 E60 535i exhaust looks just like any plain Jane 525i from the rear. Supersprint has developed two solutions to E60 owners who want that muscular dual output exhaust look. This muffler has an extra Power Loop outlet running behind the stock bumper and finished off with dual 80mm round tips on both sides. There are two ways to implement the right side tips - cutting into the stock bumper or installing a full E60 M5 rear bumper. Each Supersprint exhaust is different to match the bumper you use. Once lined up it's clear where the stock bumper needs to be modified. And if done professionally can appear as though it came from the factory.

Supersprint's rear muffler for the 535i produces a pleasing but not intrusive exhaust sound. This muffler is considered a street upgrade system with only a modest increase in volume to give a hint of added performance without being obnoxious or annoying. This is a great muffler for altering the exhaust note without drawing attention to yourself. You can also add additional Supersprint sections to better tune the exhaust to your preferences.
