The intake boot is a regular issue especially for BMW's, nearly all vehicles have a boot manufactured from rubber with an accordion section in the design for flexibility. This flexible section is typically where the failure comes from, leading to vacuum leak engine codes, rough idle, and increase fuel consumption. 

When you upgrade to a Turner silicone intake boot you get a perfect fit that will not only outlast the OE design (meaning any vacuum leaks and rough idle), while also smoothing out airflow within the intake tract. This boot also eliminates the factory intake resonator giving your engine a much more aggressive sound under the hood especially at higher rpm. Available in black or Turner blue color, our intake boot offers either a pop of color or a cohesive, complementary look in your engine bay.

The Turner Motorsport silicone intake boot is manufactured with 5 layers of wire reinforced silicone to prevent collapse under load. Engineered in-house utilizing 3D scanning technology, this boot offers perfect fitment with the factory air box and either single stage or three stage (high output N52) intake manifolds.

Install as a standalone reliability improvement or in addition to our three stage intake manifold and Turner performance tune (available here).

Turner Carbon Fiber Intakes start with a 3D scan of the factory intake and engine bay. Our engineers use these 3D images of the chassis to design the intake in SolidWorks modeling software. Using a Flow Bench, our Intake is then airflow tested against the factory intake, to ensure optimal airflow improvement against stock. The final product is a beautiful and functional Carbon Fiber Intake, CAD designed for perfect integration with the OEM inlet ducting and stock mounting locations and proven to flow better than factory.

Our Turner S65 Carbon Intake is a monster that perfectly compliments the high revving 4.0l V8 engine. The intake benefits start right at the motor; directly connected to the plenum is a full carbon intake tube with a substantially larger cross sectional area with smooth transitions which results in more airflow available to the engine in high demand scenarios. The inlet tube mounts securely to the full carbon heat shield and is mounted in factory airbox locations while retaining the factory cold air induction tract from the hood. Housed inside the heat shield is a behemoth cone filter to ensure proper filtration and maximize airflow. Turner's S65 intake is designed with air flow in mind and features a roaring induction sound. This intake flows like no other, during testing our intake outperformed the flowbench at over 750CFM, a massive improvement over the factory intake.

Oiled versus Dry Filters:

Although both options will keep the air to your engine clean and improve airflow, there are a few differences to consider when choosing the best filter for you. Oiled filters allow better airflow than dry filters, however they require more maintenance. Oiled filters will likely get dirty faster, needing to be cleaned more regularly. When cleaning an oiled filter, it is necessary to oil them with filter oil afterwards.
Dry filters offer slightly lower airflow but are easier to maintain while still out performing the OE paper filter. Dry filters can be washed with warm soapy water. There is no oiling necessary afterwards.
Both dry and oiled filters flow better than stock and can be reused.

How to service an oiled air filter:

Take out your High Flow Filter
Gently tap your air filter on a smooth surface
Wash with warm soapy water a a soft bristled brush
Rinse with low pressure water
Let the filter air dry
Ready to reinstall for a fresh drive!

No more slow starts! Does your car feel old? Age may not be the issue at all, your throttle cable bushings are mostly likely worn out and your car has lost its pep!

Your throttle cable is the main connection you have from the gas pedal to the throttle body. Do you have hesitation or delayed pedal response? Think of when you are sitting at a stop light or making a turn into a flow of traffic, you may not realize it but if you haven't replaced your throttle cable and bushings this will require you to apply pressure to the gas pedal before getting feedback which can cause slow starts at stop lights and put you in danger when merging in traffic. These are not issues with old cars, they are issues related to your throttle response!

Symptoms to look for: lackluster/sloppy throttle actuation, deformed throttle cable appearance, and bushing condition. Your throttle cable bushings can be soft, cracked or even disintegrated by now.
