BMW N63 4.4L BMC Performance Air Filter - Set is designed to enhance engine performance by replacing the OEM air filter with a high-quality upgrade. This panel/cylindrical air filter fits directly into the vehicle's original airbox, offering improved air flow and filtration efficiency. Made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber of the highest quality, the workmanship on the housing is second to none. This encapsulates the filter and is mated to an anodized aluminum inlet cowl to ensure a smooth inlet flow path. The filter itself is a deep pleated, high flow double cone configuration which is dry to avoid damaging the MAF sensor. Finally, the assembly is then mated to an aluminum heat shield which effectively shrouds the intake from engine bay heat and captures the ambient air being diverted from the scoop. Also, notice the rubber spacer on the mount of the heat shield - this is for the headlight module to sit on so that it remains at the right height - small details are important!
100% Prepreg carbon fiber with a CNC machined collar - the air scoop forces ambient air directly into the filter opening. This scoop simply clicks into place in the front right-hand brake duct and effectively saturates the mouth of the intake with cold air. It has been designed to take up half the height of the duct in order to allow airflow to still continue through the duct for the brakes. The scoop is so effective that even after a hard drive, the aluminum cowl at the mouth of the intake will still feel cold to touch!

The B58 Eventuri intake system is another example of a “Complete System” principal. It demonstrates the perfect balance between allowing for unrestricted airflow with our open filter housing whilst maintaining low IAT by cold air saturation with our scoop and shield combination. Every detail has been meticulously developed from the prepreg carbon pieces to the double layer heat shields. This intake sets a new benchmark in design and craftsmanship for the B58 platform.
The B58 Eventuri system uses a Patent Pending Carbon fiber Housing which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce the drag on the turbo.
The filter housing comprises of a high flow filter, aluminium cowl, laser cut bracket, carbon heat shroud and the carbon pod itself, which extends to incorporate the MAF sensor and turbo tube. The carbon pod shrouds the reverse mounted filter and smoothly shapes the airflow down to the integrated MAF intake tube. This smooth reduction in cross sectional area invokes the Venturi effect where the airflow accelerates whilst maintaining laminar conditions. It can be thought of as a large velocity stack. The carbon filter housing and the inlet tube have been integrated to be one continuous piece. This reduces the number of internal interfaces and allows for smoother airflow to the turbo. The diameter of the tube smoothly transitions from the required diameter at the MAF sensor end to the larger diameter of the turbo inlet.
A lot of attention was placed on the heat shielding since the intake is located next to the exhaust manifold. For this Eventuri used a double layer main shield with a silver finish on the exhaust side and black on the intake side. The silver layer reflects radiant heat from the exhaust and the black layer absorbs and radiant heat on the inlet side. The air gap between the two layers acts as an insulator to stop the conductive heat spreading to the inner layer.

The Eventuri E9X M3 Carbon Fiber Plenum is crafted from 100% high-grade prepreg carbon, including the internal trumpets, replacing the stock plastic version. This upgrade enhances the acoustic experience of the naturally aspirated BMW V8 engine without impacting performance. Eventuri maintained the same internal volume as tuned by BMW to preserve the M3's power delivery characteristics.

This plenum lid seamlessly replaces the standard plastic version, elevating the acoustic signature of the BMW S62 V8 engine. Designed to use the "venturi effect," Eventuri has created a unique intake system that out-performs the competition. The Venturi effect is when the smooth reduction in cross-sectional area along the length of the housing causes the airflow to increase in velocity. This means more air-flow and smoother delivery, resulting in more power. But that isn't all that sets their design apart. They also use an inverted cone filter that is decoupled from the MAF. This is done because it means the filter no longer dictates the shape of air-flow, thus creating the venturi effect.
Their systems are extensively developed using cutting edge design, testing and prototyping methods. This comprehensive redesign, from airboxes to turbo inlets, aims to reduce pressure loss, increase flow rate, and maintain low inlet temperatures.
Eventuri maximizes available space by incorporating two custom-made filters with a 40% larger filtration area than the stock filters. These filters are housed in Patented Venturi housings, optimizing airflow to the turbo inlets. The inlets themselves have up to 160% larger cross-sectional areas than stock, featuring an advanced dimpled inner surface to minimize frictional losses and enhance overall performance.
