This pipe fits in the exhaust just ahead of the muffler and deletes the resonator found in the stock exhaust. The resonator acts like an additional muffler and dampens the engine sound so deleting it will make the car louder - allowing more of the signature BMW inline-6 soundtrack to be heard. This center x-pipe fits between the Supersprint section 1 and section 2 pieces. Having an x-pipe equalizes and balances the exhaust gases coming from both banks of cylinders. It helps make the exhaust flow more efficient. The stock exhaust doesn't have this which makes this piece a nice added feature to your Supersprint system. Requries adapter sleeve listed below.
