These front straight pipes replace the front cat section or front resonator on Euro-spec exhausts. Euro models were either equipped with a cat or a resonator. These Supersprint pipes only install with the rest of the Supersprint Euro exhaust. This section is also used on US-spec models when upgrading to the Supersprint or BMW Euro headers.

Fitment Note: This section 1 is based on the Euro-spec exhaust system which is different than the US exhaust layout. It will bolt on to the Euro M5/M6 headers using the original 3-bolt flanges. The US exhaust has a different manifold and 2-bolt flanges.

This Supersprint center section replaces the stock facatory catalytic converter and includes a tuned center resonator. This Supersprint resonator was designed to replace the stock center section on Euro non-cat 1987 E30 M3s. The Z4 35i and 35is have a very subdued and tame exhaust, especially by sports car standards! If you want to hear more of your exhaust note or feel that your Z4 could use more growl and excitement this set of Supersprint front exhaust pipes might do the trick! These pipes eliminate the second set of catalytic converters, which opens up the exhaust and removes a big restriction. The N54 turbos and the main set of cats in the downpipes already muffle the sound. The second set of cats also work as mufflers, dampening the sound even further. These stainless steel pipes bolt to the stock downpipes. Use them with the stock rear muffler section (requires adapters) or with the Supersprint sport mufflers. This is perfect if all you want is a little more volume from the Z4 exhaust.

Many exhaust systems are only designed for so much exhaust flow, which can really limit the total amount of potential power your engine can produce. To address this issue with heavily tuned, turbocharged, or supercharged E46 M3s, Supersprint now offers a new line of high performance Center Twin-Pipe Exhaust Pipes that are designed to provide you with a significantly higher exhaust flow than their original performance exhaust pipes, 787503 (Resonated) and 787513 (Non-Resonated), designed for street and light track performance.
This twin pipe system utilizes two high flow pipes instead of a single large pipe, allowing for up to 25% greater total exhaust flow. Thanks to the increased total flow, these center pipes are capable of supporting S54 engines producing over 400whp, perfect for all highly modified street cars or performance track vehicles.

The Supersprint X-Pipe will delete the set of resonators ahead of the rear mufflers. By removing the resonators, you can get more volume and growl from your exhaust as well as decrease exhaust restriction for slightly better power and torque. Deleting resonators makes a small but noticeable increase in overall volume so it's recommended that this is done after changing or removing mufflers. This x-pipe fits in section 2 of the exhaust - after the factory secondary cat section and before the rear mufflers. You will need to cut the original resonator section out of the exhaust and the Supersprint is clamped into place.

This Supersprint front section deletes the stock front resonator on the 2004-2010 E60 545i and 550i models. The factory exhaust has two very large resonators to dampen exhaust noise so if you want a little more rip and growl this is a direct replacement for the first resonator that is bolted to the headers and then clamped with section 2 of the exhaust.

Placing resonators after cat-less downpipes will help tune the sound from the S63TU engine. By removing the factory catted downpipes you're removing a large sound muffler as well and adding resonators can help tone down the open exhaust. These Supersprint resonators are for both banks of the exhaust (left and right). They are full stainless steel with a mandrel bent pipe for optimized exhaust flow. This resonator fits in front of the muffler and takes the place of the stock resonator. With larger 76mm piping and a Supersprint resonator tuned for the rest of the exhaust, this section flows better than the original. The resonator keeps the engine noise from being excessively loud (a requirement for European noise regulations) but if more sound is desired a non-resonated section is also available.

Supersprint sport cats for the E82 and E90/E92 are designed to work with their cat-less headers. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a traditional stock cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque. This cat section will mount to the Supersprint headers (p/n 789001) and then to connecting pipes for whichever section 2 you are using (p/n 789022). This section is built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.
