This resonator fits in front of the muffler and takes the place of the stock resonator. With larger 76mm piping and a Supersprint resonator tuned for the rest of the exhaust, this section flows better than the original. The resonator keeps the engine noise from being excessively loud (a requirement for European noise regulations) but if more sound is desired a non-resonated section is also available.

With the M5/M6's twin-turbo V8 so quiet (even when piped through the speakers) every lit bit of volume is an improvement. This section will open up the exhaust a bit more - like turning the volume knob up - and remove some restriction in the exhaust flow. Must be installed with corresponding Supersprint center pipes.

This tuned resonator section replaces the factory resonator and works with the Supersprint muffler for a new, more aggressive, but still tame, exhaust note. The resonator is tuned along with the rest of the exhaust to give a more sporty sound than the factory M235i resonator but still meet European noise regulations. If you want more sound after this, there is a resonator-delete pipe available as well.

Supersprint sport cats for the F10 M5 are designed to work with their cat-less downpipes. The Supersprint sport cats are much freer-flowing than a factory-style ceramic cat. With less restriction, less effort is required to move the exhaust gasses which will free up horsepower and torque (and helps the turbos last longer). This cat section will mount to the Supersprint downpipes and then to a Supersprint center pipe. These are built with O2 sensor bungs pre-installed after the cat if you wanted to extend your stock post-cat O2 sensors (however, special software may still be needed).

HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. The factory 335i exhaust system is pretty wide open with a minimal of restrictions - except for the catalytic converter. The factory cat is the biggest restriction so any exhaust work to gain more power is going to have to involve replacing it with something freer-flowing. Supersprint metallic sport catalytic converters are sourced from HJS of Germany. For 30 years HJS has been supplying motorsports teams with sport cats when rules required them. HJS is now a worldwide leader in sport cat technology and performance. Rally cars, German DTM, and Formula 3 all rely on HJS for clean, reliable horsepower. Supersprint works closely with HJS to spec a catalytic converter that is correct for the vehicle and engine package. This allows for a substantial increase in flow but which, at the same time, keeps the environmental specs within European limits. With any high-flow catalytic converter, special software or other work may be required to keep emissions fault codes and check engine lights from displaying. Supersprint catalytic converters are sold for track and other off-road uses only.
