Turner Motorsport E9x N52 Muffler & Resonator Delete removes the heavy, restrictive factory muffler and replaces it with a lighter weight, high flow, T304 stainless steel 3.0" exhaust tubing. This exhaust adds a louder exhaust note in a simple, cost effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system and is fully compatible with the OEM rear valance. Turner's Muffler Delete creates a noticeable increase in exhaust sound, without adding significant drone at cruising speeds. As an added bonus, this Turner Motorsport muffler delete shaves off about 20lbs, weighing in at only 22lbs. OEM units out of a 325/328 weight in at 44lbs, and the 330 is 41lbs.

Upgrading the sound:

This exhaust allows you to turn up the volume and let the 4 cylinder boast its smooth and hearty exhaust tone. Let's be honest, what's the point of owning a f chassis if you're not going to upgrade the exhaust? Turner's signature muffler design allows you to transfer the exhaust valve from your factory system directly onto your new Turner system. The Turner exhaust signature muffler design allows for two flow paths that change both tone and volume. With the vehicle in eco or comfort mode, the valves remain closed, with the closed valves the exhaust system allows the gasses to flow through the muffler toning down the volume and giving a more refined exhaust note. While in driving modes sport or sport+ the valve opens and the flow path changes to a "straight flow path" essentially turning into a straight-piped exhaust for the least amount of restriction and the most amount of B48 sound!

Over the years your factory muffler gets filled with deposits and turns almost rock solid (knock on them, they no longer sound hollow.) The build up of deposits add weight and can even reduce flow causing a restriction and build up of unwanted backpressure. You can now remove the large restrictive suitcase mufflers and a install light weight and free flowing exhaust that looks just as good as it sounds! To ensure the best driving experience the factory center resonator is left alone to ensure the least amount of drone while still getting that low rumble exhaust tone.

There are few exhaust options on the market for X5's and the ones available are expensive. With the muffler delete pipes, simply cut in front of the mufflers and get the heavy suitcases off your car. The Turner Motorsport E60 N52 3.0" T304 Stainless Steel Axle-Back & Midpipe Exhaust System is a direct-fit performance exhaust replacement designed to eliminate factory exhaust restriction and enhance the acoustic profile of the BMW N52 engine.

The restrictive OEM muffler and resonator restrict exhaust gas evacuation and suppress the engine's natural exhaust note. The Turner Motorsport system replaces these restrictive factory components with a CNC mandrel-bent 3.0-inch straight-through assembly, minimizing backpressure and accelerating exhaust gas flow while maintaining emissions compliance by retaining all OEM primary and secondary catalytic converters.
