Elevate your driving experience with enhanced performance and aesthetics. ECS lowering springs are crafted to optimize both handling and comfort, striking the perfect balance between performance and drivability. With an average lowering range of 1.25" front and 1.0" rear, enjoy the benefits of a lower center of gravity, resulting in superior cornering and enhanced steering feedback. Not only do these lowering springs improve handling, but they also deliver a remarkable aesthetic transformation by reducing the wheel gap, giving your car a more planted and fitted appearance.
Features and Design:
Average Front lowering of 1.25"
Average Rear lowering of 1.0"
Lowered center of gravity
Compatible with cars equipped with EDC
Linear style springs
Black powder coating with red ECS logo
MADE IN THE USA
Designed specifically for your chassis these ECS lowering springs feature a linear style spring similar to a coilover. The issue with coilovers is the rough ride due to a drastic drop and much higher spring rates. When you have a higher spring rate like coilovers, it takes much more force to compress the spring, leading to a much more rigid ride. ECS lowering springs provide a happy medium between the factory suspension and coilover suspension. Our springs are stiffer than factory but softer than a coilover spring to achieve the balance of increased performance and aesthetics while retaining a comfortable ride.

Dramatically improve performance and aesthetics with an average lowering up to 1.4" front and rear.

ECS lowering springs are specifically designed with both handling and comfort in mind for the best mix or performance and drivability. With an average lowering range of 1.0"-1.4" you have the added benefit of lower center of gravity providing superior cornering and better steering feedback. Lowering springs not only increase handling performance they provide an astounding aesthetic upgrade by decreasing the wheel gap and giving your car a more planted/fitted appearance.
FEATURES AND DESIGN:
MADE IN THE USA
Average lowering of 1.0" to 1.4"
Front spring rate: 184 lbs/in
Rear spring rate: 462 lbs/in
Lowered center of gravity
Linear style springs
Black powder coating with red ECS logo

The issue with coilovers is the rough ride due to a drastic drop and much higher spring rates. When you have higher spring rate like coilovers it takes much more force to compress the spring which leads to a much more rigid ride. What is spring rate?
You may ask yourself "what is the spring rate and how does it affect my ride?" Spring rate is the amount of force needed to compress a spring one inch. For example if you have a spring rate of 300lbs per inch it will take 300lbs of force to compress the spring one inch. An average coilover for your F3x has over 400 lbs/in for the front and over 500 lbs/in for the rear, this means that it will take over 400lbs of force to compress your front spring one inch and over 500lbs of force to compress the rear one inch. The higher the spring rate, the more rigid your ride is going to be. ECS lowering springs for your F3x have a spring rate of 184 lbs/in in the front and 462 lbs/in, an increase over factory but much less than a coilover. You can now both understand and explain the benefits of lowering springs to find the best solution for you.

For the driver that demands the best out of their vehicle. The Dinan Adjustable Coil-Over Suspension was bred in the race lab but refined on the street for maximum versatility. No matter the environment, the traction that is awarded to the vehicle from the improved suspension will inspire newfound confidence when running at higher speeds. From the substantial reduction in body roll as well as reduction of dive under braking and squat under acceleration, Dinan guarantees you superior handling, performance, and comfort.
Dinan's design retains the superb factory electronic shocks but swaps the springs to a more aggressive, performance enhancing formula and implements threaded collars that allow the user to change the ride height themselves. While shorter, stiffer springs are commonplace in aftermarket suspensions and are a key element in reduction of body roll it is not a one size fits all approach. In the case of the G87 M2 where the vehicle has a penchant for oversteer, stiffening the rear springs would exacerbate the problem of the rear losing traction before the front when the platform is pushed to the limit. Dinan instead has opted to soften the rear spring rate as well as switch from the factory progressive rate rear to a dual rate spring setup. The combination increases predictability and compliancy, and in turn, provides better rear grip/road holding for a vehicle that needs both. The result is a sleek lowered stance that provides improved handling to go along with its stunning visual appearance. The springs combined with progressive bump stops and other components increase travel that allow the car to be lowered up to 1-1/8" in the front and over 2" inches in the rear. However, to retain the ride quality synonymous with Dinan suspension kits the recommended drop of 3/4" in front and rear is advised. For suspension connoisseurs, or those that are just simply very particular, suspension packers are included to fine-tune handling and comfort by changing the clearance of the progressive bump-stops --- something no respectable race car is without.
Contrary to the market norm, the Dinan G87 M2 kit is not a direct carryover from the G8x M3/M4 but a package independently developed to eke the most out of the M2 and the nuances that differ it from its larger siblings. The rear spring rates in particular on the smaller coupe are far more aggressive than those on the M3/M4 from the factory. This produces a stiffer, more uncomfortable ride than most are fond of beyond the racetrack. While utilizing the same rear springs as the Dinan M3/M4 kit is possible the rates would be substantially softer resulting in reduced stability in cornering and an increase in body roll. Instead, Dinan M2 rear springs are 13% softer than factory but still 10% stiffer than what the M3/M4 kit would offer so a more compliant and comfortable ride can be achieved while also retaining its sporty character and abilities.
NOTE: Due to the extensive lowering possible and the increased suspension travel, the installer must carefully evaluate tire clearance under all situations. Safety will be compromised if all precautions are not taken. Dinan is not responsible for any property damage or injury.
