The Powerflex Non-M Rear Lower Arm Rear Bushing for the BMW E39 5 Series, specifically designed for a 12mm fitting, is an excellent performance enhancement for the vehicle's rear suspension system. By replacing the factory rubber bushings with high-performance polyurethane, this bushing offers numerous advantages for improved handling and stability.
Enhanced Suspension Performance: The stiffer polyurethane material reduces flex and unwanted movement in the rear lower arm, resulting in improved handling characteristics. This upgrade enhances cornering stability, allowing for more confident driving, especially in dynamic situations.
Long-lasting Durability: Unlike factory rubber bushings, which can deteriorate over time, these polyurethane bushings are engineered to withstand extreme conditions. They resist wear from oil, heat, and road debris, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.
Improved Driver Feedback: The firmer bushing design allows for better road feel and steering response, giving drivers a more connected experience with the vehicle. This leads to enhanced control during cornering and a more engaging driving experience.
Simple Installation: Designed for a direct fit into the BMW E39 5 Series lower arm, these bushings require no modifications for installation. This ease of fitment makes it a straightforward upgrade for enthusiasts and DIYers alike.
Versatile Use: Whether for daily driving or spirited performance applications, these bushings help optimize the rear suspension setup, improving tire contact with the road and enhancing overall performance.
This upgrade is ideal for BMW E39 5 Series owners who want to enhance their vehicle's handling capabilities and stability. The Powerflex Non-M Rear Lower Arm Rear Bushing is a reliable choice for improving the performance of the rear suspension system, making it suitable for various driving conditions and styles.

OEM Lemförder is an engineering company that focuses on high-quality, precision manufacturing of critical suspension and steering components. Providing exceptionally high quality parts directly to BMW, as well as 50+ other big name automotive companies, such as Mercedes and Audi, their history of reliability and variety of offered parts makes them one of the biggest names for a go-to OEM parts provider. Lemförder parts place an important emphasis on design, production, and assembly, ensuring maximum reliability. They even coat all parts possible with corrosion protection for extended longevity.
When an E9X is lowered beyond the limits of just lowering springs, the rear wheels toe-in excessively. This excessive rear toe leads to premature wear, that many people attribute to an increase in negative camber. It has become a common belief that an extremely low vehicle will wear the tires wrong as a matter of consequence. It has become standard practice to go as low as you can and proceed to replace your tires every five to ten thousand miles. Whats more is that when the vehicle reaches a certain ride height, the factory arms become maxed out and there is no way to compensate and dial in the proper toe. You're left with an improperly aligned vehicle that is in effect worse off than it was with the stock suspension installed.
This is not only uneconomical but improper and unsafe. ECS Tuning is proud to offer a solution for this problem in the form of Rogue Engineering E9X adjustable rear toe arms. These arms allow for greater toe adjustment on vehicles that have been lowered with a coilover suspension. With the toe set properly the tires can contact the road properly this maximizes grip and minimizes wear.

Over the years, the road takes a serious toll on your suspension. Pot holes, speed bumps, and road hazards all contribute to a sloppy, weak suspension. To give a better feel to your driving experience, change components as they wear to improve safety and ride comfort.
One item to replace is the control arm. After years of service, the non-serviceable ball joints and other components can begin to wear out. Because some components cannot be replaced, the only solution is replacement of the entire arm.
If replacing any part of your front or rear suspension, it is best to either do it in pairs (both left and right sides), or examine parts that are prone to failure. This will provide the most service life out of replacement parts and assure they are all performing properly.
Referred to as a wishbone by BMW.

This upper front control arm (also known as a thrust arm or tension strut) is a direct replacement for the original part and is Meyle HD brand.
Control arms, and their integrated ball joints, are some of the most crucial components on a BMW suspension. The control arms literally control the wheel and suspension as they go through their range of motions. A faulty or worn control arm or ball joint is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening problem so make sure they are inspected and replaced at regular intervals. For a street-driven car we advise yearly inspection and a full replacement every 3-4 years. For track-driven cars these should be inspected before every event and replaced every two years.
