Emissions System

On M52/S52-equipped BMWs, the factory crankcase ventilation (CCV) system is a notorious weak link. Between brittle plastic corrugated hoses that crumble from heat soak and an internal cyclone diaphragm prone to tearing, a failing CCV leads to massive oil consumption, vacuum leaks, and that dreaded "howling" whistle.

This kit addresses these issues with all new components and hardware. Both oil separator hoses, the cyclone separator itself, the mounting grommet, and the retaining bolts are included. Servicing this system is guaranteed to restore performance lost as a result of worn CCV components.

Kit includes:

BMW N63 4.4L Vent Pipe

The BMW N63 4.4L Vent Pipe addresses common issues with oil separators freezing in cold weather conditions. This problem often occurs if the vehicle is driven before it is fully warmed up, leading to a howling noise and multiple oil leaks. The crankcase breather valve in the vent pipe purges oil vapor from the engine block into the valve cover. However, condensation can sometimes cause the valve to freeze, which may result in the oil separator system failing, cracking, or disintegrating. This replacement vent pipe ensures proper function and prevents costly damage by maintaining the integrity of the oil separator system.

Benefits:

• Prevents Freezing Issues: Reduces the risk of oil separator failure in cold weather conditions.
• Eliminates Oil Leaks: Helps prevent leaks caused by frozen oil separators.
• Ensures Proper Ventilation: Maintains effective purging of oil vapor from the engine block.
• Durable Construction: Built to withstand harsh weather conditions and engine stress.
• Direct Replacement: Designed to fit seamlessly with BMW N63 4.4L engines.
