The Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings for the BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 5 Series are designed specifically for motorsport and high-performance driving, offering superior stiffness and durability compared to stock rubber bushings. These bushings are part of the Black Series range, engineered for maximum control and precision under demanding conditions. Here's a detailed breakdown: Ultra-Stiff Polyurethane Compound: The Black Series bushings use an extra-hard polyurethane formulation that provides exceptional rigidity. This stiffness helps reduce any unwanted flex or movement in the rear trailing arms, which is critical for maintaining suspension alignment during high-speed cornering, acceleration, and braking. Motorsport-Level Performance: Designed for track-focused setups, these bushings deliver enhanced precision and control over the rear suspension. The reduced deflection ensures that the rear wheels stay properly aligned to the road, offering superior handling and grip. This is especially beneficial during aggressive driving or competitive racing, where suspension consistency is crucial. Improved Handling Dynamics: With these bushings, you'll experience significantly sharper turn-in response, reduced body roll, and better overall handling. The rear of the car becomes more stable, and the car’s behavior more predictable, making it easier to manage in high-performance environments or during spirited driving. Extreme Durability: The Powerflex Black Series bushings are designed to withstand the intense conditions of track use. They resist wear and tear from heat, oil, and road contaminants, far outlasting traditional rubber bushings. This makes them ideal for race cars or heavily modified street cars that are frequently subjected to extreme forces. Reduced Flex for Maximum Suspension Efficiency: By minimizing movement in the rear trailing arm, the bushings allow the suspension to operate at its full potential. This leads to more consistent handling and tire contact, which improves both grip and acceleration, especially when pushing the car to its limits on the track. More Direct Feedback: The increased stiffness of the Black Series bushings allows for better transmission of road feel through the chassis, providing the driver with more accurate feedback. This gives a more connected driving experience, ideal for competitive driving where control and feel are critical. Perfect Fit for BMW E24 / E28 / E32 / E34: These bushings are designed to replace the OEM rear trailing arm bushings on the BMW E24 6 Series, E28 5 Series, E32 7 Series, and E34 5 Series models. They offer a direct fit, making installation relatively straightforward for anyone familiar with suspension work, although professional installation is recommended for proper alignment. Increased NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness): Due to their extreme stiffness, the Powerflex Black Series bushings will increase the amount of NVH transmitted through the car. While this is acceptable for track use, it may not be ideal for daily-driven vehicles where comfort is a priority. In conclusion, the Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings are the ultimate choice for BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 owners seeking uncompromised performance and durability on the track. These bushings offer a significant upgrade in handling and stability, making them ideal for motorsport applications or heavily modified street cars where precision and control are paramount. However, the trade-off is an increase in NVH, which makes them more suitable for track-focused builds rather than everyday use.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

    • Matching Shock & Spring Package
    • Comparable to a H&R Super Sport or Race spring - aggressive upgrade over stock
    • Vastly improved handling but with less ride comfort

This H&R Sport Cup Kit is for drivers who want that extra edge from a stiffer suspension but without the expense and complexity of coil overs. The E46 Sport Cup Kit is a more aggressive version of the Touring kit. The ride height lowers the center of gravity and roll center even more and the springs are stiffer for more control over body motions and weight transfer. The Sport Cup Kit lowers the ride height as much as 2.1" in front and 1.7" in the back. The springs are still progressive rate so the ride stays compliant on small bumps but quickly gets stiffer. Overall, they are about 50% stiffer than the stock original springs. Lowering amount will be less if replacing the factory sport suspension. If you want a very precise and firm suspension, and ride quality is secondary, the Sport Cup Kit is superior to the Touring or any other shock/spring package we offer. This package fits with the stock strut and shock mounts but front camber plates are recommended because of the increased front negative camber.

This H&R Cup Kit is a tuned shock/spring package for the E46 coupe and sedan. H&R matches a set of springs to performance shocks for a perfectly setup and functioning suspension package. Instead of mixing and matching springs with shocks, H&R has tailored each shock for the specific model, taking into account spring rates, chassis setup, and suspension motions. Without the shocks and springs engineered together the suspension may have incorrect travel or be a mis-match for spring rate (under-dampened) or too stiff. This E46 Cup Kit addresses all of that.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

The MMX Performance adjustable drop links are a great choice for any lowered or hard-driven BMW to zero the pre-load on your anti-roll bar geometry. Plus, by replacing the stock rubber joints with motorsport-spec ball joint ends, you'll add valuable stiffness and precision to handling and steering dynamics.

The sway bar end link attaches the front anti-roll bar ends to the front damper. The OEM links were made the length they are for a reason, to complement the standard ride height.

When your ride height is altered, your vehicle's anti-roll bar ends are pulled up. With around 40mm of adjustable length, plus left and right threaded ends for easy length adjustment, the MMX adjustable sway bar end links allow you to adjust back to zero preload on your anti-roll bar - allowing it to operate exactly as it should once again.

Motorsport-spec ball joint ends using high-strength Teflon-lined steel means a much more direct response when turning into corners. By replacing the soft rubber bushing in the factory links with these motorsport-spec ball joints, cornering and steering responses are immediately sharpened. Importantly, rubber dust boots are fitted to protect the joints from road dirt and salt accumulation.

The lightweight CNC-machined T6-6061 aluminum bodies are anodized in our beautiful MMX gloss black coating to look good and stay looking good.

For BMW E46 (3 Series), Z4, and X3, upgrading to Powerflex rear subframe rear bushings is an effective way to improve the durability and handling of the suspension system. Powerflex polyurethane bushings are a popular upgrade over the factory rubber bushings, offering enhanced performance and longevity, particularly for cars used in performance driving or that are susceptible to subframe wear.

Features and Benefits of Powerflex Rear Subframe Rear Bushings:

    • High-Performance Polyurethane Material: Powerflex bushings are constructed from polyurethane, which is significantly more resistant to deterioration than rubber. Polyurethane is less affected by elements like heat, road debris, and oils, ensuring that the bushings maintain their performance characteristics for much longer.
    • Enhanced Handling Precision: One of the primary benefits of polyurethane bushings is reduced subframe movement. By replacing the flexible rubber bushings with stiffer polyurethane versions, you’ll experience sharper handling, more precise suspension response, and improved chassis control, especially during hard acceleration, cornering, and braking.
    • Reduced Subframe Flex: The rear subframe is subjected to significant forces, particularly under high-performance driving conditions. Powerflex bushings help reduce the flex that can occur in the subframe, keeping the rear end more stable, improving vehicle control, and enhancing cornering performance.
    • Longevity and Reliability: Powerflex bushings are engineered to outlast the stock rubber bushings by a significant margin. They are designed to endure the demands of high-performance driving without deteriorating, which leads to fewer replacements over the life of the vehicle.
    • Optimized NVH Balance: While stiffer than rubber bushings, Powerflex designs its bushings to minimize the increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). This ensures that the bushings provide improved handling without compromising ride comfort, making them suitable for daily drivers as well as performance-focused cars.

    Installation Considerations:

    • Direct Replacement: Powerflex bushings are manufactured to be direct replacements for the factory bushings, meaning they fit into the stock locations without modification. However, accessing the rear subframe for installation can be a complex task, often requiring the subframe to be dropped, so professional installation is recommended.
    • Subframe Reinforcement: For vehicles like the BMW E46, known for rear subframe cracking, many owners choose to upgrade their bushings alongside subframe reinforcement plates. This combination helps prevent the stress fractures that can occur in the mounting points.

    Applications:

    • BMW E46 (3 Series)
    • BMW Z4 (E85/E86)
    • BMW X3 (E83)

    Suitable For:

    • Daily Driving and Performance Use: Whether you're using your BMW for spirited street driving or taking it to the track, Powerflex rear subframe rear bushings provide improved handling and stability without significantly increasing NVH.
    • Subframe Longevity: If your car is prone to subframe issues or you want to take preventive measures, upgrading to these bushings will help reduce the wear on critical suspension components, extending the life of the subframe and related parts.

Looking for coilovers that will provide reliability on street driven vehicles but are also capable of feeding your weekend track demon's desire for performance? BC Racing's BR Series coilover kit may be just the thing for you. BR Series coilovers are the most popular and versatile option offered by BC racing, offering features such as 30-level dampening adjustment (simultaneous compression and rebound control), linear springs where possible, and a minimum of 2 inches ride height drop, up to 5". To ensure performance, comfort, and quality, all BR Series kits are Dyno tested during the design stage to determine the best valving and spring rates, then installed and tested for a minimum of 6 months. This kit features mounts and brackets that are fully compatible with all stock mounting points and components. The upper shock/strut mounts are all constructed of 6061-T6 Aluminum for strength and weight savings. BC Racing design 1 of 3 types of upper mounts for each vehicle: Caster/Camber Plates (+/- 3* camber), Camber Plates (+/- 3* camber), and Rubber Mount Plates (NVH reduction). The included mount option for this kit is shown in the kit specs and features below. Lower shock mounts are powder coated for corrosion protection and constructed of either 6061-T6 aluminum that has been milled from a single piece (fork or bolt eye mount) or of STKM13C steel with all brackets welded robotically. The included springs come in one of 3 styles: linear, S-barrel, and V-barrel. Linear springs are used in most applications unless limited by the OE design that does not allow the use of linear springs. All spring options are made from SAE9254 steel and have a zinc coating applied under the powder coating for increased spring corrosion protection and long term reliability. All shock bodies used in the BR Series coilovers use a 53mm shock body (unless noted otherwise) for added strength, performance, and increased fluid capacity. Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This, in turn, reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

This upper front control arm (BMW may call it a thrust arm or tension strut) comes with the inner bushings and is a direct replacement for the original part, made by Tier 1 supplier Lemforder.

Control arms, and their integrated ball joints, are some of the most crucial components on a BMW suspension. The control arms literally control the wheel and suspension as they go through their range of motions. A faulty or worn control arm or ball joint is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening problem so make sure they are inspected and replaced at regular intervals. For a street-driven car we advise yearly inspection and a full replacement every 3-4 years. For track-driven cars these should be inspected before every event and replaced every two years.

OEM Lemförder is an engineering company that focuses on high-quality, precision manufacturing of critical suspension and steering components. Providing exceptionally high quality parts directly to BMW, as well as 50+ other big name automotive companies, such as Mercedes and Audi, their history of reliability and variety of offered parts makes them one of the biggest names for a go-to OEM parts provider. Lemförder parts place an important emphasis on design, production, and assembly, ensuring maximum reliability. They even coat all parts possible with corrosion protection for extended longevity.

This arm includes the inner rubber bushing but the outer ball joint is sold separately.

    Adjustable Rebound & Compression Damping

Want full control? The KW V3 gives you multiple settings for both rebound and compression. You have full access over ride comfort and handling to dial in that perfect setup. Race teams rely on adjustments to get that perfect lap time and having shock controls at your fingertips is key. KW V3 features -

    • Separate adjustments for compression (14 positions) and rebound (infinite settings),
    • Stiffer springs over stock for less bodyroll than the standard suspension,
    • Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance,
    • Individually height-adjustable - Front = 25-50mm lowering; Rear = 25-50mm lowering,
    • TUV approved lowering range and operation,
    • Expert engineering and design for ease-of-use and long durability,

Whether you track the car often or only use it for backroad carving the V3 will give you the tools to set up an ideal handling condition. You can crank it up for smooth and fast surfaces or soften it for city or rough roads. Since each shock is 2-way adjustable you can alter the front-rear balance to account for brake dive or squat during power application coming out of the corner. You are in total control!

Coil over suspensions are better engineered suspension options compared to a standard shock + spring package. Since the springs and shocks in a coil over are designed by a team of engineers to work together, there is much better suspension travel and more precisely tuned specifications for spring and shock rates. Using separate shock and spring specs may result in premature coil bind or shock bottoming. And most coil over kits offer more features than the traditional packages. Coil overs are also more useful when larger wheels/tires are used because you can precisely set the ride heights to clear the new tires.

Fitment Note: Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel/tire sizing and ride height setting.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings.

Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Improve handling and eliminate sway bar preload with aFe Control’s adjustable end links. Sway bar preload is a scenario where your sway bar is in tension when your car is at rest. Sway bar preload affect’s how the vehicle handles making it stiffer when turning one direction versus the other. Factors like lowering springs can end up with uneven suspension heights which can lead to sway bar preload. If you have adjustable coilovers and are corner balancing the vehicle, it is especially important to zero out your sway bar preload to get consistent handling. Made with high-quality Aurora rod ends and precision machined adjusters, these end links will make short work of dialing in your suspension. Joint articulation was designed to exceed factory range which prevents binding during operation. Equipped with right-hand and left-hand rod ends, the end links can be adjusted on-car without removal. Whether you’re setting your car up for the street or track, aFe Control will get you there! Billet Aluminum Adjusters: aFe's adjusters are CNC machined out of 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized blue with laser etched logo. Quality Rod Ends: For superior quality and reliability, aFe uses PTFE-lined Aurora rod ends. Emissions Disclaimer: This product does not require a CARB EO#.

    Factory Pre-set Damping

The Variant 1 is KW's basic simple and effective coil over kit that is still packed with lots of features -

    • Pre-set damping optimized for a blend of ride comfort and handling with less bodyroll than the standard suspension,
    • Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance,
    • Individually height-adjustable - Front = 30-60mm lowering; Rear = 25-55mm lowering,
    • TUV approved lowering range and operation,
    • Expert engineering and design for ease-of-use and long durability,

This is the ideal coil over kit for an E90/E92 owner who does not plan on tracking or autocrossing the car and just wants a lower, more aggressive stance and better handling. KW has set the shock damping rates to be an excellent balance for a smooth yet taut ride, and to resist bodyroll motions for better handling. The Variant 1 differs from the Street Comfort set in that it has stiffer springs and revised shock settings. If you want a sportier ride and better handling than stock the Variant 1 is an excellent choice.

    Lifetime warranty!

These KW Variant 1 coil overs fit the following BMWs:
    2006-2012 E90 BMW 325i 328i 330i 335d 335i - Sedan
    2007-2013 E92 BMW 328i 335i 335is - Coupe

Replace your inner control arm bushings with performance Powerflex bushings to tighten up your control and improve stability. *Door Buster Special - New Product* This is a replacement part that uses the Black Series material to boost stiffness over the original part by 18% to withstand increased loading seen by this position on the car. If the control arm bushings on your vehicle are beginning to fail, it will become quickly apparent. Suspension noise will be drastically increased, there will be steering wheel shake when hitting road hazards, and the entire car will have an all around loose feel. This can also lead to premature tire failure as alignment is negatively affected. Replace your control arm bushings to give your entire suspension a tighter feel. Rattling over bumps, a loose feeling when driving, and play in the front wheels is the main indicator that your bushings may be failing. The stock rubber tends to get dry rotted, wear out, and cause play in the attachment point for the control arm. These high-performance rear toe links are designed to eliminate the vagueness and flex associated with the stock linkages, which used rubber bushings and an alloy designed to flex under load. During hard acceleration and braking, this can actually change the toe angle, and cause the car to feel unstable during hard cornering. The flex is eliminated by utilizing Teflon coated, machined steel rod ends with billet aluminum rod for the links. The Rods have been machined with a hex in the center to aid adjustment.

Control arms are some of the most crucial components on a BMW suspension.

As a leading source of high performance BMW parts and accessories since 1993, we at Turner Motorsport are honored to be the go-to supplier for tens of thousands of enthusiasts the world over. With over two decades of parts, service, and racing experience under our belt, we provide only quality performance and replacement parts.  All of our performance parts are those we would (and do!) install and run on our own cars, as well as replacement parts that are Genuine BMW or from OEM manufacturers. We only offer parts we know you can trust to perform!

The SPL BMW F2X/F3X Front Lower Control Arms (FLCA) provide roll center, camber, and track width adjustment for the rear wheel drive (RWD) F2X/F3X BMWs while eliminating bushing deflection resulting in sharpened steering response and driving precision.

    Negative Camber Benefits

The ability to run more negative camber greatly improves the peak lateral grip available. Adding negative camber results in the tire having an optimal contact patch as the body rolls due to cornering forces. This is especially important with better tires and a must-have for anyone looking to prevent excessive outer shoulder wear (and heating) on their tires due to a lack of camber.

    Wider Front Track Width Benefits

Further handling improvements can be had by increasing the front track width from the factory 60.5" (F3X) or 59.9" (F2X) to be closer to the M3's 62.2". If you applied the M3's width to the M340i it would reduce the outer front tire loading by roughly 20 lbs and apply it to the inner front tire. The result would be greater peak grip (~0.04G), improved stability, and faster lap times.

    Roll Center Correction Benefits

Lowering the F2X/F3X results in a greater distance between the front roll center and the center of gravity. This acts like a longer lever, creating more body roll, bumpsteer, and requiring additional static camber angle to maintain the same handling. The SPL front lower control arms allow the roll center to be corrected for a wide range of ride heights to improve handling and stability.

The lower control arms come with a ride height sensor bracket to maintain the factory ride height sensor location, regardless of length of the arm to keep those finicky BMW chassis electronics happy.

    • Separate adjustments for compression (14 positions) and rebound (infinite settings),
    • Stiffer springs over stock for less bodyroll than the standard suspension,
    • Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance,
    • Individually height-adjustable - Front = 30-60mm lowering; Rear = 20-50mm lowering,
    • TUV approved lowering range and operation,
    • Expert engineering and design for ease-of-use and long durability,

The E30 rear subframe is held into the chassis by two bolts going through these rubber mounts. A lot of suspension motion, chassis flex, and driveline torque has to go through these two points, which makes them notorious for failure. When they do, the subframe will move around, playing havoc with your suspension's alignment and settings and making a very annoying clunk. These are direct replacement rubber mounts, sold as a pair.

Looking for coilovers that will provide reliability on street driven vehicles but are also capable of feeding your weekend track demon's desire for performance? BC Racing's BR Series coilover kit may be just the thing for you.

BR Series coilovers are the most popular and versatile option offered by BC racing, offering features such as 30-level dampening adjustment (simultaneous compression and rebound control), linear springs where possible, and a minimum of 2 inches ride height drop.

All shocks are then powder coated black chrome for clean styling and corrosion protection.

    Specs and Features:

    • 8k Front & 8k Rear Spring Rate
