This strut and shock mount package covers the front and rear rubber mounts and bushings commonly replaced during a strut and shock install. While you're installing new front struts and rear shocks these are easily installed - there's no additional labor and special tools are not required. Since these pieces are mostly rubber, they dry up and crack over time. Re-using them lead to problems with fitment or noise, and may have safety issues as well. These mounts and pads are the perfect complement to your new shocks to help restore your car's handling and performance.

In addition, you can add the front spring pads, front bump stops, front dust boots, rear bump stops, and rear dust boots if needed. But please note that some shocks and coil overs come with all or some of these pieces already. If in doubt, check with your supplier on what is included.
We offer three varieties of the rear shock mounts - OEM, Repair Shop, and HP alum-rubber. We recommend either the Repair Shop or HP mounts because the stock OEM design has a flaw that can lead to premature failure of the mounts. The Repair Shop and HP mounts use a different design that will last longer and the Repair Shop mounts also have a lifetime warranty!

Everyone knows the E53 has been notorious for the air ride system to fail. Even BMW technicians will tell you it's not if your air bags will fail, its when. Repairs can become fairly costly as well, with each bag plus labor potential costing you hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Not only that, but the repairs never seem to be permanent, whether its a sensor going off a leaky air bag or the compressor. Get rid of these problems for good, with this Coil Spring conversion kit. If your E30 convertible needs a little more pep in the corners, this is an excellent suspension package. H&R Sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks for the E30 will lower the ride height for an aggressive stance and stiffer springs will improve handling and balance in the corners. This suspension is a favorite among our E30 fans because the car corners better without a punishing ride. Perfect for daily-driven E30s who want to carry more speed through the corners.
H&R Sport springs lower the ride height by 1.4" in the front and .75" in the rear and stiffens the spring rate. Both combine to lower the car's center of gravity and reduce the amount of bodyroll in corners. The springs are progressive rate so their initial stiffness is actually very compliant and it becomes stiffer as the spring is compressed. This is great for street cars that see bumps and potholes where suspension compliance is key. Overall, they are about 40% stiffer than the stock original springs.
We use Bilstein Sport shocks as the dampers and they feature Bilstein's patented and innovative valving system. With this system, small bumps and impacts are absorbed as they should be. But the shocks stiffen for cornering and other suspension motions. It's the best of both worlds as the shock self-adjusts based on suspension motion. These fit with the stock strut and shock mounts, making for an easy and clean install.

Fitment note: Front strut inserts fit the larger 51mm strut housings. These were standard for all 6-cylinder E30s, all M3, and 1989-1992 318i/is. Other models used a smaller strut housing which requires a different Bilstein insert.
