BMW Suspension Parts

MINI F56 Dinan Coilover System offers the MINI driver unparalleled versatility for achieving optimal performance in any situation. This adjustable coil-over suspension system allows for customization, enabling configurations that range from factory-like comfort to maximum performance, or a combination of both. Whether used for daily driving or track performance, the improved suspension provides exceptional traction, enhancing confidence at higher speeds.

The Dinan Coil-Over System for F55/F56/F57 MINI models is engineered to deliver outstanding handling performance. It includes performance-tuned linear rate springs, adjustable front strut assemblies, and rear shocks with integrated bumpstops for reliable behavior. Key benefits include:

• Adjustable Ride Height: Up to 1.7" lower in front and 1.1" in the rear, with a recommended 0.75" (20mm) drop to maintain ride quality.
• Enhanced Handling: 93% stiffer front springs (336 lbs/in vs. 174 lbs/in) and 58% stiffer rear springs (336 lbs/in vs. 213 lbs/in) improve grip and reduce body roll.
• Customizable Comfort: 32 levels of rebound damping adjustment and threaded collars for precise height adjustments.
• Durable Construction: Corrosion-resistant materials and finishes for long-lasting performance.
• Improved Performance: Substantial reduction in body roll and increased handling capabilities.

Note: Not compatible with cars equipped with EDC/DDC.

Dinan Adjustable Spring Sets feature stiffer springs and an innovative perch system that allows the ride height to be fine-tuned even with stock shocks. Dinan Performance springs are slightly lower but stiffer for better handling and less body roll yet still remain comfortable for normal use. They have carefully engineered the springs to work within the rates of the stock shocks, providing unmatched handling, looks, and ride quality. Adjustable spring perches give you the ability to keep your stock shocks (even EDC) but lower the ride height and set the perfect stance. This is hugely beneficial when using larger wheels and tires where a standard spring drop will not give you the look you desire. Dinan coil over springs include a threaded collar that fits over the stock strut body in the front and an adjustable perch in the rear. New progressive bump stops are also included to maintain the proper shock travel. This kit is great for fine tuning your ride height while retaining the factory EDC system.

The springs are worth 3 points towards your Dinan badge.

By ensuring even loading and eliminating any “zero load” points, this kit enhances chassis dynamics and delivers superior performance.

• Improved Handling: Ensures the sway bar is completely unloaded and unstressed at static ride height for enhanced chassis dynamics.
• Enhanced Corner Balance: Helps achieve an even distribution of weight across each tire, improving stability and grip.
• Precision Adjustment: Allows for fine-tuning of the sway bar links to maintain proper alignment and prevent uneven loading.
• Durable Protection: Dust boots seal the end links to prevent dust and debris from affecting performance.
• Essential for Performance: Critical for those seeking the best handling and cornering performance from their BMW M car.

Dinan sway bars are carefully engineered to match the driving dynamics of each BMW chassis. Dinan's research and development finds the ideal balance between improved handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. The main mounting bolt for the differential in the E36 is susceptible to shearing off during extreme driving conditions. This can cause internal damage to your diff, leaving you stranded at the track or on the side of the road. Active Autowerke's differential support bracket eliminates this issue forever in under an hour installation.

Dinan Performance Springs are matched to your BMW's chassis and suspension components to deliver better handling and looks without sacrificing ride quality. Dinan BMW springs are carefully engineered to work within your car's suspension travel and to improve suspension geometry. Spring rates are slightly stiffer than stock and dialed in to reduce bodyroll. A stiffer suspension makes the car more fun to drive and the lower ride height improves the looks by reducing wheel-fender gap.

Dinan spring specs -

• F: -5/8" (16mm)

• R: -1/4" (6mm)

Fitment note: Dinan only recommends these springs be used with their custom-valved Koni shocks. While not explicitly required, less than favorable ride quality and handling may result without them.

Dinan uses the factory sway bar with this new bracket and a 21mm rear sway bar to balance the M5/M6 handling. Instead of the traditional larger sway bar Dinan has come up with this way of stiffening the stock bar. This has a number of advantages over a thicker aftermarket bar: lower cost, the bar does not have to be removed, no tradeoff in ride comfort.

Dinan sway bars are carefully engineered to match the driving dynamics of each BMW chassis. Dinan's research and development finds the ideal balance between improved handling while maintaining a comfortable ride. This set has been fine-tuned for the E90/E92 chassis to reduce bodyroll, improve steering and turn-in response, and reduce understeer. The front bar is hollow tubular steel for light weight with adjustable ends to dial in the handling characteristics. The rear bar is non-adjustable. These are the same sway bars used in Dinan's Stage 1 suspension and work best with Dinan shocks and springs or a similar sport suspension and wider rear tires.

A strut tower brace adds additional reinforcement to the front strut towers, tying them together for extra rigidity. This makes the whole structure stronger with less chassis flex. Handling and steering feel are improved with better turn-in and input with no downsides. The Dinan strut tower brace is a very high quality aluminum brace with precision machined ends that match the contours of the strut tower. Other braces simply sit on top which reduces their effectiveness. This is definitely one of the stronger strut brace designs on the market. The center bar is polished aluminum with carbon fiber inlays - an unmistakable sign of precise engineering when you open the hood.
