BMW E30 Shocks & Struts Kit is essential for enhancing the suspension system of your BMW E30. Over time, factors like potholes, speed bumps, and other road hazards can lead to a weakened suspension, resulting in a less enjoyable driving experience. This kit provides the perfect solution to restore ride comfort and improve overall performance.

Benefits:

• Improved Ride Comfort: Effectively absorbs road imperfections, ensuring a smooth and pleasant ride.
• Enhanced Handling: Restores stability and responsiveness for a more controlled driving experience.
• Durable Design: Built to withstand harsh driving conditions, ensuring longevity and reliability.
• Comprehensive Kit: Includes all necessary components for a complete suspension overhaul.
• Easy Installation: Engineered for straightforward installation, making it suitable for DIY projects.

If E30 needs a little more pep in the corners, this is an excellent suspension package. H&R Sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks for the E30 will lower the ride height for an aggressive stance and stiffer springs will improve handling and balance in the corners. This suspension is a favorite among our E30 fans because the car corners better without a punishing ride. Perfect for daily-driven E30s who want to carry more speed through the corners.

H&R Sport springs lower the ride height by 1.25" and stiffens the spring rate. Both combine to lower the car's center of gravity and reduce the amount of bodyroll in corners. The springs are progressive rate so their initial stiffness is actually very compliant and it becomes stiffer as the spring is compressed. This is great for street cars that see bumps and potholes where suspension compliance is key. Overall, they are about 40% stiffer than the stock original springs.

We use Bilstein Sport shocks as the dampers and they feature Bilstein's patented and innovative valving system. With this system, small bumps and impacts are absorbed as they should be. But the shocks stiffen for cornering and other suspension motions. It's the best of both worlds as the shock self-adjusts based on suspension motion. These fit with the stock strut and shock mounts, making for an easy and clean install.

Parts list:

• 1 set - H&R Sport Springs (50406)
• 1 pair - Bilstein Front Sport strut inserts (P36-0335 / 34-003350)
• 1 pair - Bilstein Rear Sport Shocks (B36-2027 / 24-020275)

Fitment note: Front strut inserts fit the larger 51mm strut housings. These were standard for all 6-cylinder E30s, all M3, and 1989-1992 318i/is. Other models used a smaller strut housing which requires a different Bilstein insert.

Replacing your struts and shocks? Don't forget the bushings! The rubber mounts for the shocks will go bad over time, especially if you drive hard or the roads are particularly rough. The shock mounts locate the front struts and rear shocks to the car - providing a quiet and vibration-free buffer between the road and the cabin. Shock mounts and bushings can wear out just like any other rubber part on the car. This leads to more noise and harshness reaching the chassis and may complicate your new suspension install. When installing new shocks, that is the perfect time to also replace the mounts. There is no additional time to install them, no special tools required, and doesn't take any extra time! If you re-use the original mounts you have the risk of them failing before your next shock replacement, doubling your labor costs.
