The full cat-back requires no cutting and utilizes factory mounting locations that allow the Dinan exhaust system to be a straightforward and painless install. Fabricated from brushed 100% T304 stainless steel, TIG welded, and free of hydroformed pipe, the upgraded system is also a marked improvement from its predecessor - both in terms of material/construction as well as in overall looks. The most glaring change being the replacement of the OEM dual slip tips in favor of an M-inspired quad tip configuration. Despite the limited room, Dinan was determined to offer four individually functioning pathways/tips and not lessen the representation with Y-tips or other gimmickry. The result is a proper quad setup furnished with cavity covering 3.75-inch (95mm) tips in either black ceramic or polished stainless ensuring the system can be appreciated even before it is heard.

From the factory, the B48 engine is quiet and restrained due to the turbocharger and stock downpipe acting as mufflers. ECS Tuning developed this system to retain the factory downpipe while replacing the remainder of the exhaust with a free-flowing, 2.5" T304 stainless steel setup, giving the car a more pronounced exhaust note, sharper response, and satisfying burbles without being overly aggressive.
This system is designed to fit both the F55 and F56 chassis and includes an extension pipe to accommodate the F55’s approximately 6-inch longer wheelbase, ensuring a precise fit on either model.

Dinan sport mufflers are designed to compliment the M3 and not overpower the driver and passengers with harsh tones. Dinan engineers their exhausts to sound great and be a natural fit to the character of the car as well as produce more power and torque. Four 3.5" black ceramic tips engraved with the Dinan logo fill out the rear valence (choose either polished or satin black tips). Annoying highway drone has also been engineered out of the system. Dinan uses only 304 stainless steel in their systems for the maximum corrosion protection. This system replaces the factory rear mufflers at a pre-determined cut point on the stock exhaust, which makes for an easy installation and you can reinstall your original mufflers using factory hardware. The ECS N52 Muffler & Resonator Delete removes the heavy, restrictive factory muffler and replaces it with a lighter weight, high flow, T304 stainless steel 3.0" exhaust tubing. This exhaust adds a louder exhaust note in a simple, cost-effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system and is fully compatible with the OEM rear valance. This upgrade creates a noticeable increase in exhaust sound, without adding significant drone at cruising speeds. As an added bonus, the ECS muffler delete shaves off about 16 lbs, weighing in at only 22 lbs. OEM units out of the 128 weigh in at around 38lb, a difference you will fully notice when upgrading your exhaust.

The Dinan center pipe replaces the resonator in the M235i exhaust. By deleting resonators you can gain a little more volume from the exhaust.
