The OE thrust plate is more than just a belly panel that covers your oil pan; it plays a crucial role in chassis rigidity, impact safety, and handling dynamics. BMW emphasizes that a vehicle should not be driven or moved without the thrust panel in place due to its importance.
Inspired by BMW's upgrade of the front bumper carrier on the E46 M3 from aluminum to Kevlar during their LCI update, we have made a similar enhancement to the thrust plate with our RKP Carbon Front Thrust Panel.

The subframe is integral to supporting and stabilizing crucial components such as control arms, engines, and transmissions. Bushings located at the junctions between the subframe and the vehicle's body play a vital role. These bushings act to dampen vibrations, ensuring a smoother ride by preventing excessive vibrations from reaching the cabin. They also contribute significantly to maintaining the subframe's stability, thereby keeping all components securely in position.
If you notice increased cabin vibrations or hear unusual sounds like clunks or knocks when driving over bumps, worn-out subframe bushings could be the issue. Replacing them with new bushings not only reduces vibrations but also improves overall stability and performance. This upgrade provides a secure mounting point for critical components like lower control arms, engines, and transmissions, enhancing your vehicle's ride quality and functionality.
