BMW Coilovers for Street Use

There are several coilover options on the market - while a lot of this decision boils down to preference, we categorize coilovers as aEURoestreetaEUR based on price and comfort level. Coilovers in our street category will be comfortable enough to use on your daily driver, but perform well enough to handle occasional autocross days and light track use. These coilovers also won't break the bank. However, many of the options we have under street coilovers share many of the same features as our track coilovers, they often just utilize less durable materials and won't hold up as well to torcher testing.

BC Racing's new ZR Series Coilovers bring a 3-way adjustable track ready coilover system to racers from novice to pro for a price not seen before in the performance suspension market. Each ZR Series Coilover system offers independent low speed and high speed compression adjustment and separate rebound adjustment. They also offer full height adjustability independent of piston travel and spring preload. On cars with McPherson struts the ZR Series comes standard with an inverted monotube damper with the steel braided Teflon coated line exiting the top of the damper to the external reservoirs that can be remotely mounted in the engine bay or boot. The ZR Series kits offer 30 clicks of rebound adjustment, 15 clicks of low speed compression adjustment, and 12 clicks of high speed compression. Know your protected from the elements! The damper units are black chromed steel to give superb durability even through the darkest of European winters. The aluminum components (top mounts, locking collars etc.) are anodized and the steel lower mounts go through an electrophoretic disposition process followed by powder coating. A random selection of steel components (brackets, dampers, screws etc.) are put through a salt spray test once a month to check the quality of the protective processes and that anti corrosive properties are kept at the highest possible standard. Rebound dampening primarily controls the pitch and roll of the vehicle, especially in the low speed dampening range which directly influences handling and comfort. Adjustable Rebound & Compression Damping

Want full control? The KW V3 gives you multiple settings for both rebound and compression. You have full access over ride comfort and handling to dial in that perfect setup. Race teams rely on adjustments to get that perfect lap time and having shock controls at your fingertips is key. KW V3 features -

Separate adjustments for compression (14 positions) and rebound (infinite settings),

Stiffer springs over stock for less bodyroll than the standard suspension,

Stainless steel strut/shock bodies and composite spring perches for superior corrossion resistance,

Individually height-adjustable - Front = 10-35mm lowering; Rear = 5-35mm lowering,

TUV approved lowering range and operation,

Expert engineering and design for ease-of-use and long durability,
Whether you track the car often or only use it for backroad carving the V3 will give you the tools to set up an ideal handling condition. You can crank it up for smooth and fast surfaces or soften it for city or rough roads. Since each shock is 2-way adjustable you can alter the front-rear balance to account for brake dive or squat during power application coming out of the corner. You are in total control!

Coil over suspensions are better engineered suspension options compared to a standard shock + spring package. Since the springs and shocks in a coil over are designed by a team of engineers to work together, there is much better suspension travel and more precisely tuned specifications for spring and shock rates. Using separate shock and spring specs may result in premature coil bind or shock bottoming. And most coil over kits offer more features than the traditional packages. Coil overs are also more useful when larger wheels/tires are used because you can precisely set the ride heights to clear the new tires.

Fitment Note: Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel/tire sizing and ride height setting.
EDC must be disabled using the KW EDC Cancellation Kit available from the menu below. Cars without EDC do not require the Kit.
