This left/driver's front upper control arm - also know as a tension strut or thrust arm. This is the control arm with the outer ball joint pointing down. This is the OEM replacement and fits all non-Xi BMW E90 E92 E93 325i 328i 330i 335i models, E82 128i 135i, and E89 Z4. This control arm includes the inner pressed in bushing and outer ball joint. A direct replacement from the original manufacturer at a fraction of the cost for the OE BMW part.

This upper front control arm (BMW may call it a thrust arm or tension strut) comes with the inner bushings and is a direct replacement for the original part, made by Tier 1 supplier TRW.

Control arms, and their integrated ball joints, are some of the most crucial components on a BMW suspension. The control arms literally control the wheel and suspension as they go through their range of motions. A faulty or worn control arm or ball joint is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening problem so make sure they are inspected and replaced at regular intervals. For a street-driven car we advise yearly inspection and a full replacement every 3-4 years. For track-driven cars these should be inspected before every event and replaced every two years.

This arm includes the inner rubber bushing but the outer ball joint is sold separately.
