Upgrading the sound:

This exhaust allows you to turn up the volume and let the 4 cylinder boast its smooth and hearty exhaust tone. Let's be honest, what's the point of owning a f chassis if you're not going to upgrade the exhaust? Turner's signature muffler design allows you to transfer the exhaust valve from your factory system directly onto your new Turner system. The Turner exhaust signature muffler design allows for two flow paths that change both tone and volume. With the vehicle in eco or comfort mode, the valves remain closed, with the closed valves the exhaust system allows the gasses to flow through the muffler toning down the volume and giving a more refined exhaust note. While in driving modes sport or sport+ the valve opens and the flow path changes to a "straight flow path" essentially turning into a straight-piped exhaust for the least amount of restriction and the most amount of B48 sound!

With the factory exhaust you can upgrade to having valve control for different tone and volume options on the fly. For the fully upgraded or turbo owners this exhaust features a 2.0" to 3.0" exhaust pipe conversion and full 3.0" valved muffler that can be used with a custom full 3.0" exhaust.

While one part of you wants to have a loud and aggressive sounding exhaust, there is another part of you that knows you don't want to wake up the neighborhood or annoy your significant other. Finally the answer to your dilemma, thanks to our engineers at Turner you no longer need to choose between rowdy and tame. With your new light-weight performance exhaust you have the option to go from tame and tasteful to loud and rowdy.

Our Valved exhaust was designed specifically for your E36 and there are no other options on the market like this. Control the tone and volume of your exhaust with the click of a button. With the valves closed you have a nice low tone and hearty exhaust note. When the valves are open you get complete unrestricted access to sound and power for when your at the track or just in the mood to let it rip.

Our Turner axleback features dual 2.0" to 3.0" adapter that connects directly to your factory mid-pipes. From the adapter is full 3.0" exhaust piping with a smooth flow path to lower back pressure which leads to increased performance and a smoother exhaust tone. The 3.0" rear exhaust section flows into a full 3" valved muffler. New in 2023 you have two new options for E36 exhausts, our Turner valved and non valved axle back exhaust setups. With our Non Valved Axle-Back you achieve a happy medium of volume and tone but without the ability to adjust the volume. Our Valved Axle-Back is another variation and a true weapon, not only does it have the option to fit to your factory exhaust system but it is also the clear option for those looking to make a full 3.0" exhaust. After putting together the front 3.0" exhaust section you can assemble it with our Turner Valved Axle-Back for not only a full custom 3.0" exhaust but also have the luxury of volume control all with perfectly paired integrated 90's styled exhaust tips that fill out the rear valance with perfect proportions.

Non-M Fitment:
Although we designed this exhaust specifically for the M3 model we felt it was a shame to rob this exhaust opportunity from the Non-M E36 owners. Face it, every straight six deserves a sweet exhaust. If you or your fellow enthusiasts feel so inclined our exhaust can be fitted to all standard 6 cylinder E36s. ** For non-m E36s you will have to slightly bend the exhaust hangers to get perfect fitment in the non-m rear bumper/diffuser. **

We set out to amplify the F30/F32 with a proper exhaust system. To accomplish this goal, our engineers increased flow, give you the options to reduce weight by 27lbs, and deliver an exhaust system that captures the full unrestricted sound of the turbo inline-6 N55 engine. The increase in flow is gained from single free flowing 3.0" titanium exhaust pipes that feed into the best designed muffler on the market. Our Turner muffler is specifically designed with flow in mind to ensure that even with the exhaust valves closed, the muffler flows and sounds better than the stock muffler. Weight reduction is achieved by replacing the factory piping with lightweight Ti22 titanium and a full titanium muffler for the most weight advantage possible. This exhaust adds a louder exhaust note in a simple, cost-effective way without replacing the entire exhaust system and is fully compatible with the OEM rear valance. This upgrade creates a noticeable increase in exhaust sound, without adding significant drone at cruising speeds. As an added bonus, the ECS muffler delete shaves off about 16 lbs, weighing in at only 22 lbs. Finally the answer to your E36 exhaust woes! Upgrade from your old, crusty or quiet exhaust that lacks the OOMPH you want to hear when stepping on the gas. Our crew at Turner have been describing this exhaust with words like “symphony” and “hearty” with its smooth and low frequency tone. This is the kind of exhaust we stand outside and listen to as our residential test vehicle rolls out from work heading off in the distance while singing the oh so sweet straight six sound.

Our new E36 cat-back is a tribute to the E36 M3 in more ways than one. The exhaust features 90s styling exhaust tips to compliment the sharp yet rudimentary body lines. Just like the E36 our exhaust was designed to be raw, straight to the point, lightweight and timeless.

To accomplish these goals our engineers revved up their creativity and went straight to work. Adapting straight to the mid-pipes our engineers transformed the lackluster 2.0” tubing and stepped up to a true-dual 2.5” exhaust with an integrated x-pipe to smooth out the flow and fine tune the exhaust note just how we wanted. Towards the rear of the vehicle you will find a light-weight and perfectly spec’d muffler featuring fabricated sheet metal hangers, slash cut integrated tips and achieves a fine-tuned exhaust note.

Why the upgrade?

By now your E36 M3 is approaching 30 years of age and you have a few possible exhaust situations:

- One of the options is you still have the factory exhaust and it is at the end of its life, it could be covered in rust and unsightly or packed solid with soot deposits which is not helping the weight, flow or tone of your exhaust.

- A second option is that you have an aftermarket exhaust that you fitted years ago and it is seeing the same fate as the factory muffler just at an expedited rate, the muffler is no longer sounding or performing the same and needs to be swapped out.

Performance Carbon Intake Systems - E36 6 Cyl Models:

In 2023 our team at Turner can proudly say we are still fixated on the E36 chassis, our group of engineers and technicians own a multitude of E36 chassis including an early model vert, 95 M3 and Z3m(still counts!). To pay tribute to this chassis we spent a great deal of time to ensure we crafted THE best intake possible for the beloved chassis. We made separate kits tailored to each of the 6 cylinder variations with options for OBD1, OBD2 and vehicles equipped with automatic stability control.

Built from the throttle body forwards, our ground-up designed e36 intake offers a closed lid design that, when paired with our powder coated heat shield, keeps your intake temps cool, all while packaging neatly into the engine bay, ensuring your intake is working as efficiently as possible while looking as good as ever. Our versatile intake includes all the provisions from the intake to the throttle body inlet, making every adjustment along the way to fit with whichever 6-cylinder USDM E36 you have, fitting all ASC and non-ASC, M and Non-M, and OBD1 and OBD2 variants.

Carbon, OEM+ styling with added air induction and lower intake air temperatures. To go the extra mile this kit includes new upgraded silicone throttle body and maf inlet tubes. With the new silicone tubing you can replace your worn or damaged rubber boots to ensure your car is running the best it can be.
