Over the life of a vehicle, the transmission can often be overlooked when performing routine maintenance. If you have an upgraded transmission cooler, we recommend picking up an additional liter of fluid to account for the increased capacity. As per ZF's recommendations, Turner Motorsport suggests performing a full service on your 8HP automatic transmission every 50,000 miles. If your vehicle is modified and makes more power than stock or if your vehicle is regularly track-driven, we recommend shorter 30,000-mile service intervals. This will ensure your transmission's fluid is free from contamination which will help extend the life of internal transmission components like clutch packs and solenoids.
