Using stock mounting positions is also safer in that they are proven to hold up by the manufacturer in crash tests when the car is designed. Sporty 3-spoke OMP Racing GP steering wheel in 330mm diameter. Anodized aluminum center with OMP horn button and black leather-like polyurethane rim. The steering wheel rim is oval shaped so your fingers wrap around the rim for improved grip. The spokes have contours for resting your thumbs to give you more leverage and grip. The grip itself is textured at the 9 and 3 positions for extra control of the steering wheel. The 330mm size is on the small size compared to most BMW wheels (stock is usually around 380mm) and may block gauges or instruments, depending on steering column adjustment. A steering column hub adapter is required.
