Sway bars transmit cornering forces from the outside wheels to the inside wheels, helping to keep the vehicle flat during cornering. This in turn reduces body roll and improves the driver's cornering confidence. OEM rubber sway bar bushings are designed with comfort in mind, allowing the sway bar to articulate while permitting additional movement, leading to less-than-ideal bar retention and causes unnecessary body roll.

Powerflex polyurethane sway bar bushings are firmer than factory rubber bushings, reducing body roll and keeping sway bars in check. Polyurethane bushings won't slop around like OEM bushings, allowing sway bars to function at their fullest potential.

Poweflex is a leading manufacturer of aftermarket suspension bushings. Using state of the art design and manufacturing, all replacement bushings are engineered to out-perform and out-last the ones that came in the car. Each line of bushings is meticulously tested and then re-tested to ensure perfect fitment and enduring quality through the life of the vehicle. A full lifetime warranty backs every one of their products and demonstrates the level of confidence and commitment Powerflex has to their customers.

One often overlooked piece is the upper strut bearing and mount. This is the top mount for your struts and provides a solid platform for your front suspension. If worn, the bearings within this mount make noise, there is slop from worn rubber, and it can shorten the life of your shocks. Priced each, but should always be replaced in pairs.

Tasked with keeping the vehicles rear end firmly mounted while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber subframe bushings were engineered to provide a balance of control while keeping the ride quality soft and supple. As a factory bushings age, they become brittle and begin to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play, or movement in the subframe. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk or "thunking" noise under acceleration and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushings with full polyurethane this play is eliminated since the subframe is being held in place by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering and acceleration inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

The Powerflex Handling Pack for the BMW F2X (2 Series) and F3X (3 Series) RWD is an all-in-one solution for improving the handling, stability, and overall driving dynamics of these rear-wheel-drive BMW models. This pack is designed to replace the softer factory rubber bushings with durable polyurethane bushings, giving the car a sharper, more responsive feel, particularly under demanding driving conditions.

Components of the Powerflex Handling Pack:

  1. Front Control Arm Bushings:

    • Upgrading these bushings significantly reduces flex in the front suspension, resulting in more precise steering and better feedback from the road. With less deflection, the suspension geometry remains more consistent, particularly during hard braking or cornering.
  2. Front Anti-Roll Bar Bushings:

    • Replacing the factory rubber anti-roll bar bushings with firmer polyurethane helps reduce body roll, ensuring that the vehicle stays more level through corners. This provides enhanced cornering grip and stability, making the car feel more agile and responsive.
  3. Rear Trailing Arm Bushings:

    • These bushings maintain proper rear wheel alignment by reducing movement in the trailing arms. This leads to better rear-end stability during cornering, braking, and acceleration, and prevents unwanted changes in toe alignment, which can affect handling.
  4. Rear Anti-Roll Bar Bushings:

    • Firmer rear anti-roll bar bushings enhance rear stability and reduce body roll. This upgrade ensures that the car's rear suspension reacts more quickly and precisely during cornering, helping to maintain balance and grip, especially in high-performance driving scenarios.
  5. Rear Subframe Bushings:

    • Powerflex's rear subframe bushings provide a more rigid connection between the subframe and the chassis, reducing movement under load. This translates to improved power delivery, reduced wheel hop during acceleration, and better overall suspension control.

Benefits of the Powerflex Handling Pack:

  • Increased Handling Precision: With stiffer bushings throughout the suspension system, the vehicle will experience less deflection and flex, leading to sharper steering response and more predictable handling.

  • Reduced Body Roll: By stiffening the anti-roll bar bushings, the handling pack helps reduce body roll, keeping the vehicle more level during cornering and providing a more planted feel.

  • Improved Stability: With upgraded bushings in key suspension areas like the control arms and subframe, the handling pack provides better stability and control, particularly under heavy loads and during high-speed cornering.

  • Enhanced Road Feedback: The firmer bushings provide better feedback from the road, giving the driver a clearer sense of what the car is doing and allowing for more precise inputs during performance driving.

  • Long-Lasting Durability: Polyurethane bushings are more resistant to wear, deformation, and environmental factors compared to traditional rubber bushings, meaning the handling pack will last longer and maintain its performance over time.

  • Balanced Performance: Despite the increased stiffness, the handling pack is engineered to minimize increases in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), making it suitable for both daily driving and performance use.

Installation Considerations:

  • Direct Replacement: All components in the Powerflex Handling Pack are designed to replace the original rubber bushings without requiring modifications to the suspension. However, due to the technical nature of the installation, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper fitment and alignment.

Applications:

  • BMW F2X 2 Series (RWD): This includes models like the 218i, 220i, 228i, M235i, and M240i.
  • BMW F3X 3 Series (RWD): This includes models like the 316i, 320i, 328i, 330i, 335i, and 340i.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. As a factory bushing ages, it becomes brittle and begins to harden. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow excess play in the suspension joint. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. By replacing the bushing with a full polyurethane unit or using a bushing insert, this play is eliminated since the suspension joint is being supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car?

Powerflex street bushings are ideal for street driven vehicles and those that see occasional autocross or track time. Need bushings for a dedicated track car? Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved steering feel, turn in, more responsive handling and overall improved chassis composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings.

Control arm bushings play a key role in connecting the wheels to the chassis of the vehicle. Tasked with keeping suspension geometry in check while absorbing noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) factory rubber bushings were engineered to provide a balance of comfort and control. This is typically felt by a sudden jerk forward after the car comes to a stop and is a leading cause of "sloppy" or "loose" suspension feel. Additionally, the inherent stiffness of the urethane material translates body forces much more directly. This means steering inputs from the driver are effectively transferred to the wheels and vital road information is transmitted properly from the wheels to the driver.

Differential bushings are responsible for keeping the differential in solid alignment while dampening drivetrain vibration. While OE rubber bushings are fine when they are new from the factory, aged and worn out rubber bushings create a multitude of issues that can range from annoying to dangerous. As a factory bushing ages, it begins to harden and become brittle. When this happens the bushing will actually shrink and allow for movement at the differential mounting point. At this point, the differential is free to shift under load causing a noticeable clunking noise under acceleration and deceleration and massively increasing the stress on the driveshaft and axles. Manual transmissions suffer the worst from this as it can make shifting difficult since the differential will shift when the clutch is engaged and disengaged.

By replacing these bushings with full polyurethane, the movement is eliminated since the mounting point is supported by a much stiffer material that will not harden or shrink over time. This means less stress on the driveshaft and axles and greater longevity of supporting components.

Powerflex Black Series bushings are the ultimate in track and race bushings. Featuring 95A durometer polyurethane, Black Series bushings are 25% stiffer than street bushings. Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane control arm bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Replace your inner control arm bushings with performance Powerflex bushings to tighten up your control and improve stability. *Door Buster Special - New Product* This is a replacement part that uses the Black Series material to boost stiffness over the original part by 18% to withstand increased loading seen by this position on the car. If the control arm bushings on your vehicle are beginning to fail, it will become quickly apparent. Suspension noise will be drastically increased, there will be steering wheel shake when hitting road hazards, and the entire car will have an all around loose feel. This can also lead to premature tire failure as alignment is negatively affected. Replace your control arm bushings to give your entire suspension a tighter feel. Rattling over bumps, a loose feeling when driving, and play in the front wheels is the main indicator that your bushings may be failing. The stock rubber tends to get dry rotted, wear out, and cause play in the attachment point for the control arm. Replace yours when they wear out, or when replacing a control arm that didn't include these pieces.

Engineered to perform, Powerflex performance polyurethane differential bushings offer a supreme level of control, while still providing enough comfort for the street, with advanced polyurethane that reduces NVH that often accompanies lesser bushings. Expect improved acceleration response, more direct shifting feel and overall improved drivetrain composure with Powerflex performance polyurethane bushings.

Rear shock mounts are tasked with securing shocks while absorbing noise, vibration and harshness that would otherwise be associated with a solid mount. Factory rubber bushings are a compromise between a cushy ride and responsive handling.

Powerflex polyurethane rear shock mounts are firmer than OEM bushings, resulting in better handling, a more responsive rear-end, and more efficient suspension articulation - all with minimal sacrifice to ride quality.

Key Features:

  1. Durable Polyurethane Construction: Powerflex bushings are crafted from high-performance polyurethane, which provides superior durability compared to OEM rubber. This material is resistant to wear from heat, oil, and road conditions, ensuring longevity and consistent performance over time.

  2. Enhanced Handling and Stability: By minimizing flex and movement in the rear suspension, Powerflex bushings significantly improve the stability of the rear end during acceleration and cornering. This results in sharper handling, better grip, and an overall more responsive driving experience.

  3. Performance Options:

    • Road Series: This option balances improved handling with comfort, making it suitable for daily driving. It enhances stability and responsiveness while maintaining a level of NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) that is acceptable for everyday use.
    • Black Series: Designed for motorsport enthusiasts, the Black Series provides maximum stiffness and control. This version is ideal for track use, delivering superior performance but may increase NVH, making it less suitable for casual driving.
  4. Direct Fitment: These bushings are designed as direct replacements for the OEM bushings, ensuring a straightforward installation process. Replacing worn bushings with Powerflex units can restore and even enhance the handling characteristics of the E30.

  5. Longevity and Reliability: The robust construction of Powerflex bushings means they can withstand the rigors of both daily driving and high-performance use. They are less likely to degrade or crack over time, offering a reliable long-term solution for E30 owners.

Applications:

  • BMW E30 3 Series (1984-1991)

Upgrading to Powerflex Rear Beam Bushings is an excellent investment for BMW E30 enthusiasts looking to improve their vehicle's handling, stability, and overall driving experience. The Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings for the BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 5 Series are designed specifically for motorsport and high-performance driving, offering superior stiffness and durability compared to stock rubber bushings. These bushings are part of the Black Series range, engineered for maximum control and precision under demanding conditions. Here's a detailed breakdown: Ultra-Stiff Polyurethane Compound: The Black Series bushings use an extra-hard polyurethane formulation that provides exceptional rigidity. This stiffness helps reduce any unwanted flex or movement in the rear trailing arms, which is critical for maintaining suspension alignment during high-speed cornering, acceleration, and braking. Motorsport-Level Performance: Designed for track-focused setups, these bushings deliver enhanced precision and control over the rear suspension. The reduced deflection ensures that the rear wheels stay properly aligned to the road, offering superior handling and grip. This is especially beneficial during aggressive driving or competitive racing, where suspension consistency is crucial. Improved Handling Dynamics: With these bushings, you'll experience significantly sharper turn-in response, reduced body roll, and better overall handling. The rear of the car becomes more stable, and the car’s behavior more predictable, making it easier to manage in high-performance environments or during spirited driving. Extreme Durability: The Powerflex Black Series bushings are designed to withstand the intense conditions of track use. They resist wear and tear from heat, oil, and road contaminants, far outlasting traditional rubber bushings. This makes them ideal for race cars or heavily modified street cars that are frequently subjected to extreme forces. Reduced Flex for Maximum Suspension Efficiency: By minimizing movement in the rear trailing arm, the bushings allow the suspension to operate at its full potential. This leads to more consistent handling and tire contact, which improves both grip and acceleration, especially when pushing the car to its limits on the track. More Direct Feedback: The increased stiffness of the Black Series bushings allows for better transmission of road feel through the chassis, providing the driver with more accurate feedback. This gives a more connected driving experience, ideal for competitive driving where control and feel are critical. Perfect Fit for BMW E24 / E28 / E32 / E34: These bushings are designed to replace the OEM rear trailing arm bushings on the BMW E24 6 Series, E28 5 Series, E32 7 Series, and E34 5 Series models. They offer a direct fit, making installation relatively straightforward for anyone familiar with suspension work, although professional installation is recommended for proper alignment. Increased NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness): Due to their extreme stiffness, the Powerflex Black Series bushings will increase the amount of NVH transmitted through the car. While this is acceptable for track use, it may not be ideal for daily-driven vehicles where comfort is a priority. In conclusion, the Powerflex Black Series Rear Trailing Arm Bushings are the ultimate choice for BMW E24, E28, E32, and E34 owners seeking uncompromised performance and durability on the track. These bushings offer a significant upgrade in handling and stability, making them ideal for motorsport applications or heavily modified street cars where precision and control are paramount. However, the trade-off is an increase in NVH, which makes them more suitable for track-focused builds rather than everyday use.

The E30 rear subframe is held into the chassis by two bolts going through these rubber mounts. A lot of suspension motion, chassis flex, and driveline torque has to go through these two points, which makes them notorious for failure. When they do, the subframe will move around, playing havoc with your suspension's alignment and settings and making a very annoying clunk. These are direct replacement rubber mounts, sold as a pair.
