The CNC-machined lower shifter assembly is made from 4140 Chromoly steel with a Melonite coating for exceptional durability. The 6061-T6 aluminum bearing cup features precision machining and Type II anodization, ensuring corrosion resistance and a premium finish. We have always loved BMWs, but one of their shortcomings has always been shifter throw and feel. Even driving your new BMW ///M home from the dealership, you might realize that the shifter throw leaves something to be desired when you find your right hand in your backseat when shifting into fourth gear. Things only go downhill from here, as these cars increase in age and mileage shifts feel less and less precise. Our short shifter offers 32 to 40% reduction in throw over stock. Note that this short shifter differs from our typical Turner short shifter in that it is solely height adjustable, not throw.
Note that we did notice some resonance when testing on vehicles with factory base model shift knobs (25117596084 or 25117596086, etc). We recommend running ZHP, M, or M Performance to both avoid this and give your shifts the best feel.

Sometimes choosing the correct shift kit proves difficult when you dual-purpose your favorite vehicle, we understand this well. The early days for any race enthusiast usually begins with a car that is needed to daily drive and setup to get out on the track. What becomes difficult is properly modifying that car to feel comfortable in both situations which is why we took this view on our new short shift line. This upgraded lever is a quick swap option to replace the standard shift lever that come with our kits so you can keep your hands closer to the wheel while shifting at high speeds. Designed from anodized aluminum this lever looks great in any interior for the daily driver who simply prefers the taller lever look and feel.
NOTE THAT THESE ARE DESIGNED TO WORK WITH TURNER MOTORSPORT SHORT SHIFTERS ONLY - We wanted to give you the option to buy one separately, in case you changed your mind after buying our short shifter.

Compatible with stock shift boot fits nicely into the machined groove at the bottom of the lever to maintain a clean look in the interior.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and type II anodized for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance.
Available in either black or clear anodize to match your vehicle’s interior.
Rally shift knob is machined from black delrin.
Unlike aluminum, delrin will not hold heat so on those hot days you won’t have to worry about burning your hand on a knob that’s been baking in the sun.
Shift knob is threaded onto the end of the shift lever utilizing a standard ⅜-16 thread to allow for easy removal and attachment of your favorite beer tap or other accessory.
“Quick Change” height adjustable upper shift lever design allows for quick swapping between optional “OE” style and “Rally Style” upper shift levers.

Oftentimes, the first thing you will notice about your manual BMW is that the stock shifter throws are miles and miles long. We developed our short shifter kit as a solve for this common complaint about manual transmission BMWs. Our new short shifter kits are the culmination of years of research and development - we went back to the drawing board several times throughout the design process, in efforts to release a product that really stood out from the rest of the short shifters on the BMW market. We set out to design the perfect shift kit for your BMW. Now we realize perfect is a subjective term, so we gave our short shifter a wide range of height and throw adjustability. This wide range of adjustability allows you to easily make adjustments from the cabin of your BMW by just removing your shifter boot and using small hex head keys.
We made our short shifter for all of you. The weekend warriors, the trackday monsters, and even the daily drivers. We wanted to make something that made sense for any BMW enthusiast. For those who want to drive your car to the track, drive some hotlaps, and then drive back home, we developed a rally lever extension. Our rally lever extension allows you to keep your hands close to the steering wheel through shifts, in efforts to quicken shifts and reaction times on the track. The rally lever comes off and on in seconds with the unique locking design we engineered. After your track day win, you can easily swap back to the short lever for more comfortable daily driving.
Installation of this kit is one of the easiest to take on compared to the competition - our custom bearing cup allows for easy installation from inside of the car (on applications that use the stock shifter arm).
