Turbo inlet pipes serve two very distinct, and differing, purposes. On one hand, the optimization of a turbo inlet pipe will encourage better turbo efficiency and responsiveness by allowing the turbo to ingest more air by way of an unobstructed and larger volume flow path. On the other, you have a more visceral benefit that some may argue is equally important than that of efficiency/flow optimization --- increased sound. No matter which of the distinct purposes is favored, Dinan will deliver on both. Regardless of application, a Dinan turbo inlet replaces the weak, and failure-prone, plastic factory inlet with a more robust carbon fiber one. CNC machined fittings are utilized to ensure proper fitment and guarantee installation as a direct replacement to the OEM inlet. Beyond material and fitment however are the improvements to the characteristics of the primary element in the system, the pipe itself. The stock turbo inlet has incorporated additional features (multiple in some cases) that introduce flow restrictions and turbulence while also reducing turbo noises. All of which are unwanted but easily rectified by removing the various resonators and enlarging (and optimizing) the path for a more uniform flow. The result is an inlet that delivers not only more air and allows the turbo to be more efficient (work less) but also provides the oft-desired amplification to the turbo induction soundtrack. Features: Increased turbo efficiency and reliability courtesy of maximum unimpeded and uniform airflow. Eliminates the factory sound resonator for increased turbo vocalization. 14% increase in overall volume over OEM inlet. Average of 7.7% larger internal diameter throughout (maximum cross-sectional area allowed). Carbon fiber construction for increased durability and visual appeal. Direct replacement of OEM turbo inlet. Quick and easy bolt-on installation. Dinan Factory Matching (4yr/50k) Warranty Emissions Note: This part is legal under the provisions of EPA’s Tampering Policy dated November 23rd, 2020. Turbo inlet pipes serve two very distinct, and differing, purposes. On one hand, the optimization of a turbo inlet pipe will encourage better turbo efficiency and responsiveness by allowing the turbo to ingest more air by way of an unobstructed and larger volume flow path. On the other, you have a more visceral benefit that some may argue is equally important than that of efficiency/flow optimization --- increased sound. No matter which of the distinct purposes is favored, Dinan will deliver on both. Regardless of application, a Dinan turbo inlet replaces the weak, and failure-prone, plastic factory inlet with a more robust carbon fiber one. CNC machined fittings are utilized to ensure proper fitment and guarantee installation as a direct replacement to the OEM inlet. Beyond material and fitment however are the improvements to the characteristics of the primary element in the system, the pipe itself. The stock turbo inlet has incorporated additional features (multiple in some cases) that introduce flow restrictions and turbulence while also reducing turbo noises. All of which are unwanted but easily rectified by removing the various resonators and enlarging (and optimizing) the path for a more uniform flow. The result is an inlet that delivers not only more air and allows the turbo to be more efficient (work less) but also provides the oft-desired amplification to the turbo induction soundtrack. Features: Increased turbo efficiency and reliability courtesy of maximum unimpeded and uniform airflow. Eliminates the factory sound resonator for increased turbo vocalization. 24% increase in overall volume over OEM inlet. Average of 12.5% larger internal diameter throughout (maximum cross-sectional area allowed). Carbon fiber construction for increased durability and visual appeal. Direct replacement of OEM turbo inlet. Quick and easy bolt-on installation. Dinan Factory Matching (4yr/50k) Warranty Emissions Note: This part is legal under the provisions of EPA’s Tampering Policy dated November 23rd, 2020. The company has reasonable basis (test results) to verify that this product allows the vehicle to operate within legal emissions standards and is therefore legal to be sold for on-street use in all states that accept the legal provisions of the Clean Air Act and the EPA Tampering Policy. Looking to get the most efficient turbocharger operation out of your N54 powered BMW? The best way to do this is to remove all restrictions from the inlet, and charge tract. The factory charge pipe has a very small 1″ opening and a poorly designed Y section that couples the two banks into one before entering the intercooler. This VTT N54 Aluminum outlet gets rid of those restrictions and provides a full 1.5″ from the turbochargers to a smooth Y transition into a 2.5″ outlet to fit most aftermarket intercoolers. Do not be fooled by companies trying to sell you oversized 2″ charge pipes, these are not going to pick up any power, and will kill velocity. The smallest diameter you can run while still providing adequate flow is always best for flow velocity and reducing time to TQ. This outlet is powder-coated black for a durable finish. The outlet is available in V-band connection for Stock, Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 2+, any aftermarket turbo that uses the stock connection (RB, Pure, TTE, ETC. It is also available in Hose barb connection for our GC, GC Lite line up., as well as with 1.5″-2″ silicone adapters to fit MMP turbos.

The factory charge pipes are made of plastic, which is fine for stock boost levels but does not hold up well under higher boost levels.
