A leaking gasket can cause headaches down the road, usually when you least expect it. The N52 engine can suffer a particularly troublesome leak around the oil filter housing gasket. Generally seen as something to keep an eye on, this is not something that should be put off. The upgraded Bavarian Autosport gasket is made from a DuPont Viton rubber that has a higher temperature and chemical resistance than the stock gasket material.
